Thin Lizzy - Rock band from Ireland. The repertoire of musicians consisted of love lyrics, compositions with historical references and situations from life. The main feature of the team was the frequent change of its participants, but this did not prevent the artists actively perform for several decades.The history of creation and composition
The team originated in 1969. Her founders were drummer Brian Downey, guitarist Eric Bell and Basist Phil Linott. Having created a creative trio, later artists accepted the organist Eric Rixon in their team. The greatest authority in the group at that time had experienced Bell.
Together, the musicians chose the name Thin Lizzy for the group in honor of the metal robot from comics. In the history of the creation of the team there were several stages of changing the composition of the participants, but this did not affect the desire of artists to continue creative activities in the rock genre. Starting the work in the late 1970s, the artists played hard rock, in which there was a place of melody and a bright guitar solo.
Music
In the 1970s, Thin Lizzy released the song The Farmer. The musicians signed a contract with the Decca Records label and went to London to create an album with the same name. The record was heat perceived by the public, but did not produce a furor, although it was supported on radio stations. The next step of the group was the release of Mignon New Day. Its sales did not correspond to the expectations of artists, but the command producers agreed to optisture and next disk Shades of a Blue Orphanage. It was presented in 1972.The group went to the Gastro Tour of the UK together with Susie Quatro and Slade. Returning to the Motherland, the musicians recorded the Vagabonds of the Western World. In 1974, the team left Eric Bell. Upon completion of the tour, a contract with a label has expired, and Brian Dauni left. Other musicians came to their place.
The composition of Thin Lizzy was updated with the repertoire. Artists began working with Phonogram Records, but the album recorded during this period failed. In 1975, the first American tour was held, in which the team was preceded by the speeches of Bob Segera and Bachman-Turner Overdrive. Then followed the record of the FIGHTING plate. This album managed to break into the British charts.
The group went to joint tour with the Status Quo team and again took up the album recording. Jailbreak brought world famous artists. The release of 1976 released to prestigious charts, and the single the boys Are back in Town became the song of the year. Thin Lizzy gave concerts, and participants constantly interacted with famous teams like Aerosmith. Shooting in a television show, joint tours with Queen, but a change in the team was again planned. The prolific team regularly replenished discography, but the activity of participants and their ambitions did not allow to develop so quickly and successfully as I would like. Phil Linott began solo work. In the record of his second album, colleagues participated in the group. In parallel, the artists worked on the material for a common project. It gave rise to the inconvenience and the task in the team. Singles Group fell in charts, and partners did not feel satisfied with work.
In 1983, the last joint concert of the group took place. In 1996, John Sykes, a former musician team, tried to restore him, inviting Colleagues Scott Gorham, Brian Dauni and Darren Worton to cooperate. The group organized concerts in their homeland and abroad, released new discs. The interaction did not develop because of the creative ambitions of colleagues, but the musicians supported a group on the afloat. Artists gave concerts until 2012. According to their overall agreement, each member of the group can engage in independent creativity and return to the team for general work.

In the 2020th, the team has a personal site and a page in Facebook, which publishes photos and video groups. Artists have no account in the "Instagram", and they have not been playing fans for fresh albums for a long time. Now the activities of musicians are passive, but Thin Lizzy is still among the legendary rock collectives of 1970-1980.
