In Extremo is a German musical group speaking in the folk metal genre. The team members focused on the processing of medieval works in various languages, including the dead.In addition to modern tools, performers use at concerts and when writing the material of the harp, lute, bagps and other vintage items for musical creativity. In the repertoire of artists there are several compositions recorded with a symphony orchestra.
The unique image of the team has developed due to the performances that it complements the performances. Appearing on the scene in the images of stray musicians, in the clothes of the past epochs, artists participate in tricks with fire and other exciting rooms.
The history of creation and composition
The In Extremo group appeared thanks to her frontman Mikhael Rayne. Fans call him Misha or nicknamed - the last unicorn. The musician from school was fond of the history of the Middle Ages. Together with friends, he was interested in literature, history, architecture and art of that time.
At first, Michael tried himself as a member of other teams. He collaborated with Noah Corvus and Cordax groups. The first experiments led artists to the idea that the result of Crecycling falls on the soul. Having played in 1994 the first concert, a year later they were re-gathered. After that, it was decided to create a common project.
So the history of the creation of in Extremo began. The debut singles of the new team became the song "Ai Vis Lo Lop". Mihael's composition recorded along with guitarist, bassist and drummer. Later, the team was replenished with a flutist and a violent.
The name for the team was justified by the extreme approach of musicians to everything that happens in their lives. Almost all of them were previously street musicians.
In Germany, those years were not easy to break into the scene, and the performances before passersby often brought fruit, helping in the promotion.
The debut album of the team was the Die Goldene disk. At first, the artists did not give him serious importance and wondered as a joke, but with the release of the single "Der Galden" it became clear that the project could have prospects.
Music
The first popularity artists have found after speaking at the Franzklub club. The non-trivial appearance of musicians in specific costumes instantly attracted the attention of the public and present in the hall of representatives of the Rock Hard magazine. At that time, with the team on the stage, Yello Pfeifer was released, who played over the winds, including Volyn. The show from In Extremo turned out to be indicative: they were spoken for the first time.In 1997, artists performed in Leipzig, and this concert was fateful. The team was interested in the label veilklang. Negotiations and conclusion of a contract with a recording studio took place. Soon the light saw an acoustic album called "Hameln". Then followed by collaboration with Stars In The Dark.
Thanks to him, the collective discography was replenished with a WECKT Die Toten plate. She brought in Extremo great popularity and contributed to the conclusion of a contract with Megalux / Mercury label. The beginning of the cooperation was marked by the release of the concert album "Die Verruckten Sind In Der Stadt". The record was made in Runneberg in 1998.
Musicians took up work on the material for the fourth plate "Verehrt und AngeSpien". Most of the songs on the albums of this period were written in Latin and Old Score and the ancient Germannsky, as well as in Starofranzzian languages. Artists took only 3 months to release the album "Sunder Ohne Zugel". At the same time, the work was combined with touring and concerts. The records made at the events were based on the "Live" disk.
Presented in 2003 disk "7" pleased fans with new compositions. In Extremo showed themselves as prolific and zealous authors. Two years later, the release of "Mein Rasend Herz" took place. In 2006, a collection was published with records of concert speeches, and by 2008, the Single "Frei Zu Sein" started in the rotation of German radio stations, which preceded the presentation of the record "Sängerkrieg".
Music in Extremo liked listeners. The group easily collected various concert venues and often became a prigine party of German and international festivals like Hurricane, Bizarre, Southside, Roskilde and others.
Gastro tours were interrelated by the release of new clips and singles, which strengthened the status of the team at the music chaise. A pleasant surprise was the In Extremo invitation to record the soundtrack to the Gothic computer game. The team attracted attention and media that dubbed the group of pearls of medieval folk rock.
In the 2006th in Extremo for the first time visited the tour in Moscow within the Raue Spree tour. The second time the artists visited Russia in 2007, performing a concert program in honor of the 10th anniversary. The concert was held at the club "B1 Maximum". In 2008, the musicians visited the northern capital.
Returning home, the team released the Concert Album "Am Goldenen Rhein", on which the show was recorded in German Cologne. In 2011, the release of the Single "ZigeUneerskat", presented on the eve of the new album, was presented.
Full-format plate fans were presented in February of the same year. Over the creation of "Sterneneisen", the musicians worked together with the Label Island Records. Upon cooperation with Vertigo Berlin, 2 singles were released at once, and In Extremo went on tour in support of the disk, visiting Portugal, Holland, Spain, Ukraine and Russia.
In Extremo now
In March 2019, in Extremo again visited Russia, where the fan love for their performances does not subscribe. The musicians performed in St. Petersburg. This time, their show was overshadowed by the tragedy, which the media wrote as a murder at the concert. The conflict that emerged between the two visitors of the event ended with a slaughter, which resulted in a fatal blow. He led to the fatal outcome of the Fight member. Musicians learned about the incident at the end of the concert.
In June in Extremo became participants in the Scharfenstein festival in native Germany and were adopted by the public with delight. The interest in the work of the group does not subsigh down, despite the fact that the artists are on stage for many years.
