The history of the Group's creation, which is often called "Vampires Helsinki, began in the summer of 1989 in the Bars of the Finnish capital. The debut album of young rockers was called Bump N'Grind
The 69 Eyes composition almost did not change for 30 years - the only time of the Lotto drummer changed the drummer of Jussi-69, the youngest member of the Rock Team, born in 1972. Now the music team writes the guitarist Bayzi, and the texts are vocalist Yurki-69.
The biography of the singer and the poet is quite unusual for Rocker. Yurki-69 is an artist drawing comics, Master of Analytical Chemistry, Member of the Helsinki Ornithologists Association. In 2005, Vocalist was appointed Representative of Finland to UNICEF - an organization uniting goodwill ambassadors.
Music
The genre of the executable music "Vampires Helsinki" is called "Goth-H Roll", but critics determine it as a synthesis of GLEM metal and Gothic rock. The style of the group was formed under the influence of Elvis Presley, Billy Aidol, Mötley Crüe and The Doors groups, as well as books and films about Vurdalaks.The most successful for the team was the Album Devils, published in 2004. Clip, shot on the Lost Boys song from this collection, got into a constant rotation on MTV. The continuation of Devils was the following Angels album, contrary to the name, which includes heavier compositions.
Yurki-69 In an interview, he repeatedly said that his favorite clip was Never Say Die, but in a mini-film on the Peerfect Skin composition, the vision of the director did not coincide with the concept of the author of words. The creation of the texts of the poet and vocalist is often affected by trips to exotic countries. Visit in Jerusalem inspired Yurki to write the song of the same name, in which there are words "when you find yourself here, the millennium disappear." Speaking of traveling to Africa, Yurki repeats the words of Ernest Hemingway:
"On the black continent, a person's feelings are exacerbated - he feels not so much a hunter as an object of hunting."The 69 Eyes has repeatedly arrived in Russia. In the fall of 2018, the concerts of the group thundered in 8 cities of the European part of the country's largest.
The 69 Eyes now
In 2019, the collective discography was replenished with West End album. In Twitter, the Group indicates that the presentation of the collection, as well as the output of the documentary film dedicated to the 30th anniversary of The 69 Eyes, are confined to Friday on September 13. In the "Instagram" team posted a picture of the pickets of the anniversary tour of Finland - the photos of the participants are mounted in the cover of a new album.
Exactly six months after the release of the collection "Vampires Helsinki" again arrive in Russia. The 69 Eyes tour starts in St. Petersburg on Friday, March 13, 2020. Concerts also pass in Yekaterinburg and Samara.
