Denis was born in Moscow in 1999. Like many professional athletes, toys and fun early gone from Hodikin to the background. The boy first went on the ice when he was not five years old. At first, the parents led him to hockey, but did not work out. However, the child did not leave the rink, but decided to try the strength in figure skating.

Here Hazikina found the first partner Maria Godoslavskaya, with which he rolled season 2015/2016. However, the success of the couple did not achieve, and Masha became aware of the replacement. The choice fell on the former single Daria Pavlyuchenko, which even had an 8-year experience of skiing, but had already managed to leave the ice and spent calmly in secondary school during the year, not thinking about the sports career.
Dasha returned to figure skating and put on the ice in a couple with Denis. So in the summer of 2016 their joint path began to sports vertices. Sergey Dobrobokov became training for skaters. The leader in the pair was Hodikin, which has strong jumping techniques. Dasha was inferior to a partner in technical grounds, but the motivation and perseverance of the young athlete was not to occupy: she was ready to spend all loose hours on the rink and even the weekend.
Despite the fact that training was held in the life of Denis central place, he decided to take care of the future in advance, and because at the end of the school he entered the institute, as a specialization, choosing management in the sports industry. Personal life

Starting to ride with Darya Pavlyuchenko since the summer of 2016, Denis quickly brought a sports biography to a new level. Having rolled back the short program for 74.92 points, the skaters occupied the 2nd position, but the arbitrary program put everything in places, and Pavlyuchenko and Hodiqin eventually took bronze, by losing to compatriots Alexander Boykova and Dmitry Kozlovsky and Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov. The results allowed Denis and Dari to go into the Russian national team to the World Championship, which in 2020 was to take place from March 16 to March 22 in Montreal.
