The history of the creation of the team originates in the distant 1974 in the American city of New York. She formed against the background of the novel, which arose between the musicians of the Stilettoes group - Debbie Harry and Chris Stein. As an early name, Angel and The Snake was used, which was quickly replaced by Blondie.
Less than a year after the creation, the first changes occurred in the team. The backbone remained the same, but as a bassist and the drummer hired Gary Valentine and Clem Berk. The participants also joined the sisters of Tish and Snukka Bellomo as a back-vocalist.

In 1975, the team recorded a debut demoplast in the genre of punk rock, which Alan Betrock burned. Later, he was used as a soundtrack for the films "Donnie Bracco" and "Night Home". Another hit, One Way or Another, sounded in "Dribanted girls" and "supernatural".
During this period, the name of the team was inextricably linked with the name of Debbie Harry, which shone in the clips, on television and even in the cinema, while other participants remained in the shadow of the singer, which partly reflected in the mood inside the team. Only in 1979 the whole group fell on the cover of Rolling Stone.
The new Album Eat To The Beat was delighted with critics in Australia and the UK, but did not turn out so popular in the United States. The Single Call Me became the most audition, which received platinum certification in Canada. The song was recorded as a soundtrack for the film "American Gigolo".
Releases of the following plates, Autoamerican and The Hunter were warmly accepted by fans, but still failed to repeat the success of Parallel Lines. At this time, the team grew a voltage, which led to decay in 1982. Over the next years, the musicians performed separately from each other.
