The official date of birth of the team is 2014. However, the history of creating Brockhampton began a lot before.
The leader Kevin Abstract - African American and Rap-Wunderkind in 2010 wrote a post at Fan Forum Kanye West. The musician appealed to Internet users with a proposal of cooperation. By the way, dozens of people responded. So spontaneously and formed Alive Since Forever. In itself, creative association has begun work in 2012.
Soon the Debut Album The ASF EP came out. True, the collection did not produce Furour. Kevin decided to dissolve the group and build something more brighter on the ruins. Brockhampton included old participants Abstract, Amir Van, Rodney Tenor and Mackennon House. The composition was replenished with new performers Matt Champion, Romary Job Boring, Romomil Hemnani and others. At that time, there were 15 people in the team.
And then the most interesting thing happened. All these creative personalities did not cooperate with the production centers, but settled together in the Big House and began to texts and music. Between themselves, the guys called this some kind of home studio by the factory, in which 24/7 new songs were born.
Surprisingly, how young artists managed to make a spark of Azart. Everyone sought to "feed" a colleague, come up with a verse better and embody his own thoughts in compositions. And the result was not forced to wait.
In an interview, Abstract called his brainchild the true face of America, "the voice of the streets." Brockhampton does not follow any stereotypes, does not drive himself into the framework. Musicians express what they feel, the tracks become a certain personification of the ideas of the same fretsching people.
A large number of participants did not cause discrepancies in choosing the creative vector. Each soloist is a full-fledged unit that is different from others in style and voice. Therefore, the compositions are obtained different genres - from lyric ballads to a rigid, emotional and protest recipient.

Opinions about the album diverge: some consider it a successful experiment, others did not see the debut disk that the very spark.The plate includes songs of different genres, including a guitar ballad, hip-hop and, of course, traditional rap. She came out so manyhow that instead of synergies, the guys achieved the opposite effect, but at the same time they saw each other's strengths. They learned to allocate and work as a single mechanism.
In 2017, the first album was presented in the Saturation trilogy. By that time, the team moved from Texas to California. And it was already a serious request for a victory. The first fan bases appeared, the official website, where fans shared their impressions about the performers.
A favorable response presented a second breathing group. And after 2 months, Brockhampton released the second album, pre-heated interest with the clip on the Gummy composition and several industries. And by the end of the year pleased the fans of creativity by the third disc.
Despite the fact that songs were recorded in a short time, it did not affect the quality: each composition sounds no worse than the previous one. If you add clinging rollers to this, the team reasonably became the discovery of the year in the hip-hop industry.
But the next stage in the biography of the musicians was marked by a difficult period. At the beginning of the year, Brockhampton announced the output of the Puppy album, but this did not happen. At the same time, a contract was concluded with RCA RECORDS, according to which the abstraction pledged to release six plates for three years.
The reason for the stop of the creative process was the scandal with Amir Ven. One of the founders of Boyz-Benda was accused of sexual violence. Soon Kevin announced that the group broke up with a soloist.
After the "voluntary-compulsory" exclusion of Wen from the composition, the remaining participants decided to start everything from scratch. They went with concerts in the European tour in support of the next trilogy of The Best Days of Our Lives. And after 10 days, they were collected from unpublished sessions in the center of London the album Iridescence.
He became the beginning of a new chapter in the history of boyz-bend. The worldview of each participant has changed, so each song has been the result of reworked emotions, touched upon serious topics.
In addition, guys paid more attention to the technical side. This is a weighty bass and even more heavy drums, shrill vocals and deep overflows of strings. Yes, and the texts came out meaningful, heartbreaking and gloomy.
And then Kevin decided that co-stay in the house was time to finish. The team came out of the comfort zone, but the musicians claimed: these changes will benefit. So, in 2019, the BROKKHAMPTON Factory has ceased to be associated with a hostel.
Instead, almost already members of the family took the tradition of gathering once at the end of the work week, while discussing not only creative ideas, but also personal affairs, experiences. Friday sessions have become fertile soil for the birth of another masterpiece in the collective discography. In 2019, Ginger's album came out. His Kevin called the most beloved and very personal, marked the era of growing participants. And fans especially liked NO Halo and Boy Bye tracks.
Brockhampton now
An obstacle in the creative process was a coronavirus infection pandemic. However, it did not stop the group: Since the spring of 2020, Brockhampton released the singles on Yutubeub. Unstasual compilation called Technical DiffiCulties. This year gave fans such compositions as Sugar, Mob, Downside.
As for the new album, the fans in the "Instagram" under the displayed photos have repeatedly asked musicians questions about the alleged release date. Kevin responded to subscribers that the collection "Acoustic ready", but due to the pandemic, the release of the next record had to postpone.
In August, the group became the chadliner of the Osheaga festival, which takes place annually in Montreal (Canada).
Now in the plans of the team not only the musical direction, but also shooting a full-length film. Prior to this, only short films became the result of creativity. But the true fans of cinema are confident that they will conquer this top.
