Valery Vladimirovich Pankov was born on May 7, 1980 in the city of Krasnokamensk Chita region in the family of a welder-installer and an engineer. When the future actor was 2 years old, the family moved to the Lithuanian atomic town of SNCHCUS (now Visaginas).
Since childhood, Valera was engaged in ballroom dancing, but he did not want to associate with them a future profession.
