In the distant 1990s, students of the Smolensk branch of the Moscow Energy Institute decided that could be not only smart, but also funny. First, the sharp into the tongue, young people composed miniatures and jokes, performed at the creative evenings, and in 2000 they organized a student theater of pop miniatures "Triode and People".
The name is associated with the university profile: triode is an electronic lamp with three electrons, a symbol of a brilliant idea. The more common name "Trigode and Diode" is, in understandable language, lamp and semiconductor, that is, the consecration of sudden illusion to the masses.
Maxim Kiselev, today's captain of the team, got into Stam by chance: he turned to a classmate with a request to write off lectures, and as gratitude agreed to speak in humorous formulation for dedication of freshmen. Its rustic, "Hopic" style of the narrative turned funny miniatures into scolding.
The creative ascent of the amateur team "Triode and Diode" was for the first half of the 2000s. Students took part in more than 20 international Festivals of KVN, from there Debut awards came: the Grand Prix of the Kursk Anomaly contests, "Coffeemolka", "Noisy Balagan", "Orlinic nest". In 2004, the guys became vice-champions of the Ryazan League KVN and on the wave of success were aimed at Sochi.

The guys started with records: in the 1/8 finals became the fourth in the history of the highest league team that received the maximum score for the warm-up - 6.
