These achievements exhausted the creative potential of the group members, and by mutual agreement they decided to part and play music in a format that distinguished from the usual Duan Duan style.
As a result, the break was delayed, and the following entries appeared only in 1986. The album "Notorious", made without a drummer and guitarist, became departing from pop electronic sound and deliverance from the status of sweet-haired idols of young people. The audience reacted to the new creativity wary, and the team lost the leading position and lost a significant part of the early fans.
Partially rehabilitated it only after the release of the "Big Thing" and "Liberty" plates in the Billboard 200 and UK Albums Chart.
