Biography

Fans of heavy music are undoubtedly familiar with the work of the American Hollywood Undead group formed in the mid-2000s in Los Angeles and hiding for glasses, bands and masks with frightening prints. From this point on, the team has released a number of studio albums in the Rap Rock genre, New Metal, craneccore and alternative hip-hop and received a reward as the best Prap-Rap-Rock Group at the Rock On Request Awards Awards Ceremony.

The history of creation and composition

The first page in the history of the Group Hollywood Undead was written on June 3, 2005 in a small apartment in Los Angeles. Her authors have become the musicians of a little-known garage team "3 Tears" Deuce (Aron Erlikhman), J-Dog (George Decker), J3T (George Arthur Reagan) and Charlie Scene (Jordan Terrell), who were joined by Shady Jeff (Jeff Matthew Philips), Funny Man (Dylan Peter Alvarez), Da Kurlzz (Matthew Alexis Bushek) and The Phantasm (Justin Lafahet Roman).

For the sake of their own pleasure, the guys recorded the song "The Kids", which received positive reviews in the international social network MySpace, and decided to continue to work together. The search for musicians did not have to do, because the new project included those who were in the room during the record in the room with equipment and sang or played any tools that came under hand.

The name of the team received after J-Dog released Demodisk with the Hollywood composition and with the word "undead" written on the cover. After reading this phrase in a different order, the team members decided that the phrase, meaning the "Hollywood undead", as it should not be better reflected creative ideas and initial style.

The next stage in the formation of the Group was the creation of a concert image, and the musicians decided to hide faces for frightening masks, bandans and dark glasses. Each participant came up with his own design, which, judging by the photographs, changed before the release of studio albums, and now in the arsenal of musicians there are 5 different options.

J-Dog preferred to use light shades and on speeches put on hockey masks of white and beige colors with stains, bruises and lip holes sealing with dollar bills.

Charlie Scene first wore sunglasses, suitable on top of a paper bag, and then closed the bottom of the face with bands with various drawings and inscriptions.

A distinctive feature of the image of Johnny 3 Tears has become a figure 3, written in different parts of the mask, against the background of which the silhouette of the luminous butterflies and the elements of the mosaic and cracked paint were depicted.

Funny man, Shady Jeff and Danny appeared less extravagantly looked. However, they were more compensated by the external appearance of Deuce, which later retained the impressive mask of the "silver hockey player" in the solo career, which began after scandalous departure from the group in 2010.

Another musician who dropped out of the original composition Hollywood Undead became Shady Jeff. According to the official version, the vocalist left the team due to the change of commercial interests and religious beliefs, but, according to rumors, his departure was triggered by multiple conflicts with a singer, bass guitarist and the DEUCE keyboard.

The remaining participants remained in the project, and now the group consists of Funny Man - vocals, J-Dog - vocals, bass, rhythm guitar and synthesizer, Charlie Scene - Solo Guitar and Vocal, Johnny 3 Tears - vocals and bass guitar and Danny - Synthesizer and vocals. It is curious that the permanent drummer did not appear in Hollywood Undead, and session musicians were held at different times.

Music

The first steps in the professional career of Hollywood undead did with the help of the American singer and stylist Jeffrey Stara, who helped to make a video clip on their debut song and promoted the team promotion on MySpace.

As a result, for the year of persistent work, the musicians wrote the tracks for a full-fledged album and signed a contract with a recording studio A & M / Octone Records. Under the guidance of producers who promved the Nine Inch Nails and Linkin Park, the group spoke at the popular rock festival and rooted the interest of the public to the "SWAN SONGS" record with portrait portraits and a corporate logo on the cover.

Starting at the 22nd Hit Parade Billboard 200, the first brainchild J-Dog and the company lasted 76 weeks there and thanks to a commercially organized advertising campaign after some time, a commercial success was received, marked with a gold certificate of RIAA.

Singles "undead" and "young", along with the song "Everywhere I Go", immediately became popular and in 2008 were used in Madden NFL 09 and Rock Band 2. At the Rock On Request Awards Ceremony - 2009 Hollywood Undead recognized The best crane rap rock band, and thanks to this, the agents of the musicians were able to sell tickets for concerts and organize a debut tour.

True, in the process of training in the group, disagreements arose, and DEUCE, "infected with" star disease, demanded special privileges and refused to go to the scene without a personal assistant. The rest of the participants who had more modest requests did not want to put up with a bothering colleague character and replaced him with a new vocalist Daniel Murillo, subsequently received Danny nickname.

In the changed composition of Hollywood Undead played American concerts and began to collect material for the new album "American TRAGEDY". Before the premiere held in April 2011, the Group published several singles on the network, including Hear Me Now and Coming Back Down hits.

The record turned out, shortly after the release rose to the top of the Top Hard Rock Albums rating and took the 4th line in American charts. To further promote the album, Hollywood Undead participants went to long-term tour and together with other alternative groups performed in Canada, Australia and Europe.

There was no time to work on new tracks, and in 2011 the group presented a disc with Levitate remixes and other old songs, and then continued to drive around with the programs "WORLD WAR III" and "Buried Alive".

During one of the concerts, Charlie Scene announced that the group is still working on a previously unanimous material, which should appear on the network in early 2013. And indeed, after the publication of the "Dead Bite" and WE ARE singles, the fans heard the full version of the album "Notes from The Underground", which appeared on the Internet a couple of days before the official release.

The next work in the discography of Hollywood Undead was the "Day of the Dead" plate, which took place at the end of 2013 - the beginning of 2014, and then in the work of the group they had a calm, and nothing newly appeared for 3 years.

It turned out that the participants solved personal problems and painstakingly worked on changing the style of music and the transition from Pick-rap-rock to a metal and groove metal. The first swallow, marked by these innovations, was the composition "California Dreaming", posted on the Internet and subsequently entered into the "Five" album.

In the record that fell on the 2nd place of the American rating of alternative plates, there were no percussion and drums Da Kurlzz, and soon from messages published in Instagam and other social networks, fans learned that the musician left the group and did not participate in the work on the compositions "WHATEVER IT Takes "," Nobody's Watching "and" Riot ".

The remaining five musicians continued the concert activities in supporting the disc with the symbolic name and within the world tour of the tour tour of Russia as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Voronezh and Rostov-on-Don visited.
