Biography

In the mid-1980s, the ranks of the Musicians playing the style of Dat, Tresh and Grub Metal were replenished with "heavyweights" from Sunny Brazil, who accepted the name Sepultura and playing songs in English and Portuguese. During the years of existence, the guys, brought up on the compositions of the legendary British team Motörhead, became recognized by the leaders of extreme directions and contributed to the development of Latin American and world culture.

The history of creation and composition

The history of the creation of the Sepultura group is associated with the names of the Max Brothers and Igor Kavalerov, the Brazilians of Italian origin, born in the southeast city of Belo Horizonte.

Drogling the creativity of the teams of Van Halen, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motörhead and AC / DC, adolescents, shocked by the death of the father, came up with a name for his own project, which in the translation meant "graves", and instead of melodic guitar reefs, the brothers began to listen to heavy and gloomy cassettes Commands Venom, Hellhammer, Slayer, Megadeth, Exodus and Exciter.

Dreaming to engage in such creativity, guys left school and started rehearsal, attracting Lamuñan Wagner's acquaintance as an accompaniment and Paulo Pinto - the youngest, a bit of the guitar and vocal skills.

This composition was not distinguished by stability and by 1985 has undergone a change and acquired a new member of Jairo Guedeles. Max preferred the position of the frontman and vocalist, and his brother took a place in the drum sections. Paulo junior strengthened the sound of the drums and is now the only musician who has survived in Sepultura to this day.

The new round of permutations, which began since 1987, touched on all, except for a talented and ambitious young bassist, and led to the emergence of Andreas Kisser, the former assistant and the Max Guitar Technology.

Later, the Kavalera himself, who survived the tragic death of the adoptive child, considered that colleagues were too early for mourning silence too early, and after the conflict, excluded any joint work, threatened the release of the next album and almost destroyed the future of Sepultura.

Under the guise of the victim, Max published a touching letter addressed to fans, which refers to misunderstanding and injury from the former colleagues. But in fact, the problems arose according to the fault of the wife of the expelled vocalist, which in the position of the concert agent too often climbed into the creative component and did not like anyone in the established team.

Fortunately, the care of Cavalers did not lead to irreversible consequences, and after numerous listening, musicians and producers discovered the American artist Derrick Green. This singer was able to competently modify songs from an unfinished record and joined the concept of sepultura, adding the Brazilian team by the vocal.

In 2006, after the next replenishment in the Igor family, the drummer and the founder chose the care of the children and also left the promoted team. Later, he reunited with the elder brother and organized a team called Cavalera Conspiracy.

Having survived the loss, Sepultura continued to exist and formed the current composition in the face of Derrick Green (vocals, guitar), Paulo Sisty Pinto - younger (Rhythm Section, Bass), Eloya CasAgrand (drums) and Andreas Kisser (Solo Guitar).

Music

Sepultura's concert activity began with amateur performances that led to the recording of a joint record with a little-known Overdose group and the output of a full-length album "Morbid Visions". Despite the weak unprofessional sound and texts, straightly translated into English with a dictionary, hits, hit by satanic themes, attracted the press and were mentioned in the musical media.

With the support of native participants in the group, they moved to São Paulo and on the rented studio released a new improved studio album. "Schizophrenia", represented on October 30, 1987, became a serious promotion in creativity and identified the style of the group as Dat-Tresh Metal. The release made a moderate sensation in Europe and leaked to alternative US radio stations.

Hearing its own compositions on the waves of receivers, Sepultura participants tried to organize a living performance in America, but the owners of the players and night clubs turned out to be unprepared for the songs where the corpses, crosses and coffins are mentioned. However, the negotiations on concerts reached the recording label Roadrunner Records, and the manual signed a contract with Brazilians and released "Schizophrenia" without a personal acquaintance.

Since then, the group began following the instructions of an experienced producer and stood on the path of popularity and success. Shortly after the release of the album "Beneath the Remains", Sepultura was recognized as the classics of the selected direction and included in the twenty Tresh-Metalists according to the Terrorizer experimental edition.

Track tracks, still not by the owned English, sounded in different cities of the world, and by the time of the European and American tour, the texts memaed hundreds of people. Debuting on warming up of the famous King Diamond team, Brazilians continued independent speeches and in the late 1980s earned funds for their own clip.

In 1991, in the status of the metal scene stars, Sepultura was moved to America and thanks to the new record "ARISE" became one of the most praised alternative heavy groups.

Critics noted that the musicians reached the top of professionalism and allowed themselves experiments with sound. As a result, Tresh acquired the elements of the Hard Cora and the Latin American Percussion, and the rabid pace exposed the new features of the solo guitars and vocals. The commercial side of the project corresponded to positive reviews, and, having passed the steps of silver and gold certification, "ARISE" earned Platinum RIAA.

The following musical products sepultura were the albums "Chaos A. D." And "Roots", published at the Studio Roadrunner Records in 1993 and 1996. In the interval, the Brazilians organized an annual tour, completed by a full-fledged performance on the territory of the car in Twin and participation in The Hollywood Rock Festival. Singles "Territory", "Roots Bloody Roots", "Attitude" and "Ratamahatta" received independent distribution and reached the leading positions in the Billboard Charter.

On the eve of the next replenishment of the discography, the seventh studio album "Against" in the group there was a change of vocalist, and the work of Max Cavalera finished the professional performer - American Derrick Green. Due to the fact that the record carried the imprint of the expelled frontman, the new soloist could not block the recorded material until the end, and the inconsistency of journalists and critics was not covered by the inconsistency of the performance and content of compositions.

A similar situation with the Nation software plate and conceptual projects "Dante XXI" and "A-LEX" has developed. Based on the classic literary works "Divine Comedy" Dante Aligiery and "Clockwork Orange" Anthony Burgers, the albums turned the idea of the Brazilian alternative and became the best examples of mixing genres that are included in the PANK, Rock and Metal category.

No less good reviews were awarded the record "The Mediator Between Head and Hands Must Be The Heart", which became the debut work of the modern composition of the Brazilian team, made together with the Nuclear Blast Records Records Records Studio. However, she failed to achieve the success of the previous album "Kairos", despite returning to the classic sound and powerful hits "Trauma of War", "The Age of the Atheist" and "The Vatican".

Considering that the production of the 13th album was invested enough forces and time, Sepultura was carefully cooled to further work, and only 4 years after the last release, Machine's fans heard a new speat plate "Machine Messiah".

Sepultura now

In an interview recorded before the concert in Moscow, held in April 2019, guitarist Andreas Kisser opened the veil of the creative future sepultura and hinted that the new album was not far off.

And indeed, in summer, the musicians decide to close in the studio with producer Jens Bogren, to prepare a release scheduled for 2020.

Prior to this time, the photos published on the official website and Instagram Group marked the dates of the upcoming concerts, which, in addition to solo speeches, include festivals in France, Spain and Brazil.
