Edmund Mountains Sklensky was born in 1955 in Leningrad. By nationality, the musician half the Pole, so from an early age he speaks Russian and Polish. The boy has always been susceptible to music and early began to play the tools.
This is not surprising, since the mother of the future singer taught in the conservatory on the general piano. Edmund initially took the keys, and then switched to the violin, but the academic career was not delivered, since the mind of the child was captured by Western rock stars.

In the youth, Edmund was tried as a guitarist to the novice Leningrad group "Aquarium", played on the keys in Orion and consisted in the "Labyrinth" ensemble. However, the Sklensky rather quickly realized that he needs freedom of self-expression. Dating in musical circles and membership in the Leningrad Rock Club facilitated the search for like-minded people to create their own team. So on the map of Russian rock showed out the outline of the island called "Picnic".
Music
The debut performance of the Picnic was held in 1981, and already a year later, the musicians recorded the first Disk "Smoke", where Alexey Preychin acted as co-authors. In the future, Edmund Metal Solveovich will be the author of music and texts for all subsequent albums. And there are more than 2 dozen in the discography of the collective.Starting to perform in the Leningrad Rock Club, the group quickly goes to his first rows, after becoming a laureate of the Festival in 1983, along with the Aquarium and Zoo. The ensemble gives the first concerts, and even then an unusual performance appears on the stage, which will eventually become a mandatory attribute of all speeches. Today it is impossible to submit a "picnic" show without amazing tools designed by a soloist, light effects and ominted, leaving the scene at two-meter stilts.
By the beginning of the 1990s, the team records 5 albums, among which "hieroglyph", "comes from nowhere" and "Harakiri". By this time, the concerts of the group pass with the Anchelas, and each subsequent record becomes an event. In the stream of Russian rock "Picnic" stands apart, no one reminds and nobody imitates. The impassive frontman sings the buzzing tenor about the strange worlds, without affecting the social and political problems that the majority of this vague era are worried.
In 2001, an album "Egyptian", songs from which fall into the charts of Our Radio, who has mastered popularity throughout the country. Since then, the Sklensky with the team becomes the permanent guest of the Rock Festival "Invasion". In 2005, the disk "Kingdom of Curves", the title song of which became a soundtrack to the eponymous series, and the composition "Shaman three hands" repeatedly enters the "charts of a dozen" "Our Radio".
In the same period, the musician participates in the voice of the Cartoon of Tim Burton "Nightmare Before Christmas", Svet Vampires Party. The choice of heroes was predictable, since the vampire theme often popped up in the work of the poet and even resulted in a full-fledged album. In 2010, the performer continues to write songs, act and record discs, including "Iron Mantras", "obscurantic and jazz", "Stranger". In 2017, Picnic noted the 35th anniversary of the series of anniversary concerts in the country.

Draw Edmund loved in childhood and left this hobby over the years. Personal life
Personal life of the musician has developed in his youth. In an interview, he told that he fell in love with Elena during the dance on New Year's Eve. They got married in a restaurant on Nevsky Prospect, where 25 years later, a silver wedding was celebrated. Wife gave birth to Edmund two children - Daughter Alina (1984) and Son Stanislav (1986).
The Sklensky family lives in St. Petersburg. The son became interested in music and eventually played in the Father's group on the synthesizer, becoming the most young participant in Picnic. Alina also does not remain aside from creativity and sometimes helps the dad in writing texts.
Now Edmund Metal Slavovich is already twice grandfather. A man is engaged in yoga, loves to read books on philosophy and play chess, retaining addiction to this game from orphanage.
By religion, the Sklensky - Catholic and gives faith of great importance, like the Orthodox "brother" Ivan Okhlobystin, the external similarity with which makes a non-existent relationship to men. The state of health of the Sklensky after the accident was estimated as satisfactory, although he received a cranial injury and a fracture of the pelvic bone. Over time, artists continued touring.
