Lev Yakovlevich Rokhlin was born on June 6, 1947 in Aralsk, Kazakhstan. His father was a Jew for nationality. Shortly after the appearance of a lion on the light of a man was arrested. Mother stayed with three children in her arms.
After moving to Tashkent, the guy graduated from school and was shortly called into the army. When the service life completed, he decided to continue his career of the military and engaged in education.

Career
Military career Lion Yakovlevich began in 1982, when he was sent to serve in Afghanistan. The man was appointed commander of a motorized rifle shelf in Badakhshan province. Already a year later, he was lowered in office because of the maneuver, in which Rochlin retained its people with the price of military equipment.He continued the service man as a deputy commander in Gazni. During the service, leadership qualities showed a successful operation to seize the base of opponents in the Urgun area.
A difficult point in the biography of the commander was the catastrophe, which occurred during the departure of the place of hostilities. The rebels shot down the helicopter in which Lev Yakovlevich was, as a result of which he received serious damage and the fracture of the spine. There could be a speech about further service in Afghanistan. Rokhlin sent to Tashkent.
Followed a long period of recovery. After returning to the service, the man was sent to Kyzyl-Arvat, where they were appointed deputy commander of the motorized rifle division. There he passed the title of Colonel.
Due to family circumstances, Rochlin had to move to Georgia. He served as part of the Transcaucasian district. As a result of successful military operations, China General Major has been awarded. During this period, he was educated at the Academy at the General Staff.
In December 1994, Lion Yakovlevich was sent to Chechnya. He headed the Guards Corps. A fractional maneuver penetrated the territory of the republic and participated in the storming of Grozny. Together with Ivan Babichev led negotiations with representatives of the rebels. Rokhlyn awarded the title of Hero of Russia, from which he later refused.
Returning from Chechnya, the man came in politics, became a deputy of the State Duma from the party "Our House - Russia" (NDR). Then he took the post of Chairman of the Defense Committee.
However, after 2 years, he left the ranks of the NDR and created his own party, which acted as opposition to the current government. For that, he was removed from the position of the head of the Committee. According to information from open sources, many military, including Alexander Lebed, tried to get into the ranks of supporters of the general.
Personal life
With his wife Tamara Lev met in his youth. Soon after the wedding, Elena's daughter was born, and then the son of Igor. The fate of the boy was tragic. In childhood, he infected with encephalitis, after which he became disabled. Tamara Rokhlinina had to quit work to care for the child.

Death
Rokhlin died on July 3, 1998 at the cottage in the village of Clokovo. According to official information, the cause of death was the shot, who made his wife after a family quarrel. But supporters adhere to the opinions that Lev Yakovlevich was killed because of his opposition activities.Attempts to solve the circumstances of the death of the military man holder are devoted to several documentaries, including the project "ordered to forget", which was released in 2018.
The general was buried at the Troyeksov cemetery in Moscow.
