Eduard was born in the Belarusian city of Grodno in 1994. His mother lived here, with whom the father met, being in Belarus in military service. Ratmil, Tatar, by nationality, lived in the Samara region, where he was transported to his wife with a child. Childhood and young biathlonists took place in the village of Kamyshla, where he studied at school and began to attend the sports section.
At first, the boy was carried away by skiing, good, the first coach Marat Shaviev turned out to be a real fan of his business and turned the village skiing base into a modern training center, where the pupils used professional top brands inventory. So, according to the part of the equipment, Kamyshny athletes could envy their city rivals. Now in the village built a children's skitting biathlon complex, and then Latypov simply ran along the rolled track, and he went alongside the road to the neighboring village.
He started Edik from local competitions and "skiers of Russia", gradually entering the excitement and seeking first success. And then the thought came to try himself in biathlon. This sport was not only in Native Kamysle, but also in Samara, however, seeing the success of the golden generation of Russian biathletes on TV, the boy caught fire with a new dream. Ivan Vosov, Dmitry Yaroshenko and especially Maxim miracle became an example and inspiration for him.
Miracles were from Ufa, and this determined the path of Latipov. Parents sent her son to the capital of Bashkiria, where he decided to try himself and eventually fell into the republican national team. Valery Mishchin became the first coach in Biathlon, who brought the guy to the level of the Junior Russian national team. For the first time, hitting international competitions in 19 years, from his debut world championship, Edward returned with a hurt "wooden medal" in the relay. At the personal level managed to rise to the 18th position.
Personal life

At the IBU Cup, the athlete first got in 2015. By the time, on the account of Eduard, there were already two gold junior world championships, not counting other prizes. Adult career was promoted gradually. Successes at the IBU Cup level came in 2016 with a victory at the stage in Slovak Orbl, where the Russian athlete became the first in the sprint. In the same year, there were serious problems associated with the movement of an athlete in dope. Latypov temporarily removed from international competitions for the use of Mildronate, but soon the charges were removed, and the guy was able to continue his career.
Being a representative of CSKA, biathlonist traveled in 2017 to the worldwide military games, from where he returned to the triumph, winning a 20-kilometer patrol race. He participated in European Championships and Winter Universities, having achieved the greatest success in 2019 in Krasnoyarsk. There, Edward mined gold in a sprint, silver in an individual race and bronze in the rush.
For the first time in the main team of Russia, the guy was included in 2018. His debut took place on December 6 in Slovenian Pokleuk and turned out to be a failure: Latapov turned out to be in the 99th place. It became an anti-advertised, since the representatives of the Russian national team never sank so low. Failure was explained by the fact that the athlete at the start brought skis late for 30 seconds, which did not allow him to gather and show a worthy result.
Already after 2 months later, in Canada, the biathlon managed to get into the top 15 World Cup and earn the first glasses, and in the relay to climb the 3rd step of the podium. After that, Edward continued his speeches for the national team, trying to improve his own statistics.
Edward fell into the national team at that time when Russian biathlon began to forget about glorious victories. The Triumps of Oberhof 2019 began to fade against the background of the fact that athletes are already several stages in a row on the World Cup pedestals, not to mention the first places. In January 2020, Latypov admitted that she was 100% laid out and does not understand what the cause of failures pursuing the team.
Biathlonist trains and maintains a form (with an increase of 180 cm weighs 76 kg). True, this time the Russian team had to speak without a national flag: such a decision was adopted by a sports arbitration court (CAS) in connection with WADA anti-doping sanctions.
The last stage of the World Cup - 2020/2021 in Biathlon ended optimistic for the Russian national team and Latypov in particular. He rose to the pedestal in the mass start, winning silver.
