The history of the creation of the collective originates in 1989 in Germany. At the sources - the musicians of Tommy Schlekh and Enrico Tsabler, working in the genres of techno and eurodens. Later, the singer Trixie Delgado joined the composition.
Music
In the early stages of the existence of the Enrico and Tommy, the Single Dance To the Beat was created. For rap passages, David Atterberry was invited, and Mandy Li vocals. The composition took the 26th line in Chart Germany. It inspired performers to record the Shake Up and Dance track, but it was less successful.Despite the failure, they paid attention to artists. They signed a contract with Polydor label, which came out the debut album The Masterboy Family. Participants were invited to perform at concerts and parties in Germany, but the slices and the tsablers remained unhappy with the sound of music, they were creative search.
In 1993, performers released the second album Feeling Alright. On the recordings of the Cause We Don't Again, Trickey Delgado voice called for the first time. Soon after that, the group participants created the song I Got to IT Up, which brought them worldwide fame. She entered the charts of France, Sweden and Austria. And the clip, shot in London, was broadcast on MTV.
The composition entered the new Album Different Dreams, which rose to the 19th line in the German rank. Their single Feel The Heat of The Night received gold certification. He became a hit on the dance floors of Europe.
Masterboy went on tour in support of release. The team visited Brazil and France, where it was named the best foreign group of the 90s.
On the wave of success, the musicians recorded Generation of Love, which entered the track list of the next album with the same name. Two singles from the new release came to the top 10 of the Chart of Finland.
In the interruptions between the release of plates, the performers created a new hit Land of Dreaming, which took the 12th line at Dance Club Songs USA. Masterboy opened recording studios in Waldorf and Rome, gave concerts in South America, visited Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Peru and Argentina.
At this time, the musicians participated in charity. Part of the funds from the sale of CDs was transferred to the AIDS Foundation.
However, the success was overshadowed by Trickey Delgado's departure, which decided to start the solo career. On the replacement was invited by Linda Rocco. Together they recorded the Mister Feeling track, which was warmly accepted by fans. The composition reached the 12th position in the German ranking.
In the summer of 1996, the performers visited Russia for the first time. Then they announced the work on the album of Colors, which replenished discography in October of the same year. Release was accompanied by a tour of Asia's cities.
The group received Chartbreaker Prize'96 for musical achievements. They were invited to speak on television and festivals, and new tracks were consistently in the charts of Europe. During this period, the artists continued to experiment with the sound, but as a result of the search, they decided to take a break.
They returned to the scene in the summer of 1999 with a new vocalist Annabelle Kay, who replaced Linda Rocco. The result was a Caver on the Porque Te Vas track Jeanette singer. Fans rated the work of artists, the record rose to the 21st room in the Swedish chart.
2 years after the start of cooperation, Annabelle left the group. She replaced the returned Trixie Delgado, but it did not save the situation. The work of Masterboy has occurred crisis.
Only in 2013, the trio once again gathered on stage to speak in Germany. And 5 years later, the single Are You Ready (We Love the 90s) came out.
Masterboy now
At the end of 2019, artists visited Russia again. In October, they participated in the "superdiscotect of the 90s", which took place in St. Petersburg. Another concert was in winter in Moscow.
