Biography

The writer, the translator and the scenario of Henry Böll called the most Russian German author, because not in one other country, except in Germany, his work did not use such popular as in Russia. For the political activity and sincerity of works, he was called the "conscience of nations". The man advocated the freedom of spirit everywhere, where she was at risk.

Childhood and youth

The biography of the writer began in the winter of 1917, he was born Cologne, brought up in a large family. His parents were Catholics, the mother was engaged in the economy and children, his father worked as a chamber. Four years old, the boy studied in a Catholic school, then transferred to the gymnasium of Kaizer Wilhelm. Heinrich's interest in writing was traced already in early childhood. In the years of study at school, he composed poems and stories.

Personal life

Böll's personal life has developed successfully, a man met his love in the difficult years of war. In 1942 his wedding was held with Anna Maria Czech, who presented the spouse of three sons - Vincent, Ramunda and Rene. Books

The first work of Heinrich was not related to literature. At first he was a joiner, then worked in the book shop, then in the buckinist store was a student of the seller, and then went to the labor camp of the imperial labor service. After the guy planned to continue studying at the university, but was called up to Village, and with the beginning of World War II, went to fight to France. He received 4 injuries, but survived. A couple of months was in captivity of Americans, and after the liberation returned to his native Cologne and entered the university, where he began to study philosophy.

Since the money was constantly lacking, Heinrich worked for some time in the Father's workshop. His first work turned out to be seal in 1947. After 2 years, the man presented the story "The train comes on time", and another year a collection of stories. Then the book "Where have you been, Adam?" Appeared on the shelves of literary stores. Early works of Heinrich are filled with vital concreteness and differed simplicity. Many novels found readers and critics responses, and for the story "Black Sheep" he received a prize.

At first in the bibliography of the writer there were stories with uncomplicated plots. Gradually, the works became more voluminous and affected the social and moral problems that were noticed after the end of the war. In them, he told about the experienced and in all colors described the realities of the first post-war years in Germany. Since 1967, he began to visit Tbilisi, Leningrad and Moscow, where they collected materials for the future documentary film about Dostoevsky and St. Petersburg.

In 1971, Böll wrote a novel "Group portrait with a lady", in which he tried to transfer the extensive history of Germany XX century. Subsequently, this book has influenced Henry Nobel Prize, he became the third German writer who received a similar award after World War II. In further works, the author often opposed the political system of the country, in particular, wrote about the danger of state supervision for ordinary citizens.

With the greatest demand, the creativity of Belyl was used by the Soviet readers, most of which were the young post-war generation. In the period only of the active writing activity of Heinrich, more than 80 works were translated into Russian. He more than once visited the Soviet Union, and because of the statements, the man called the Soviet regime critic. Subsequently, the author's book was banned in the USSR, after having removed all publications from publication.

After the expulsion of Alexander Solzhenitsyn from the USSR and deprivation of citizenship by decision Yuri Andropov, he was sent to Germany. There he found support from different people, including from Böll, who accepted the writer in his home, and before that helped to forward his manuscripts to the West, where they were subsequently published.

Death
