In the last decade of October 2019, the showroom of the dramatic series about the superheroes "Keepers" started on the HBO TV channel, whose trailer (including in Russian) appeared on the network in May. According to preliminary information, a project that tells about the world without the Internet, where police officers are forced to hide faces behind masks, will consist of 9 episodes. Creation
The series "Keepers" is based on comics drawn by Dave Gibbons and Alan Murom, who joined together with Damon Lindeofof ("stay alive") to the project as a screenwriter. The director's place was divided by Nicole Kasnel ("Detective Rush", "Castle Rock"), Stef Green ("Preacher", "Man in a High Castle"), Andri Paren ("Heirs", "13 reasons why"). The shooting began in June 2018 and held in Atlanta and nearby cities located on the territory of the American state of Georgia. The official date of the release of the series was not announced for a long time - the launch date of the project was announced only in September 2019.

Judda Crawford, the police chief of the city of Tuls, where the main events not hiding the face of the mask, played actor Don Johnson. His character is not only the immediate head of Angela, but also a close friend. On November 28, 2019, the date of the release of the film "Get knives" was appointed in Russia, filmed by director Ryan Johnson in Neonaya Stylistics, in which Don Johnson took part.
The role of Colleague Abar, Wade detective with the call sign "Mirror", whose face is hidden behind the reflective mask, performed Tim Blake Nelson. His character is a peculiar reincarnation of Rorschah, the hero of the original comic, who has long deceased in the reality of the series. Also Tim Blake Nelson starred in the film "The Fall of Angel", the premiere of which took place on August 23, 2019.
The wife of the main character, Calvina Abara, with whom a woman brings up three foster children, played actor Yahya Abdul-Matin II, familiar to the Russian audience on the role of Black Manta from the film "Akvamen". In March 2019, the horror film "We" directed by Jordan Saw, in the filming of which Abdul Matin II participated.
Andrew Howard (red fear), Sarah Vickers (Mrs. Krushshnkx), Jean Smart (Comedan), Jacob Ming Trent (Panda) and Jeremy Irons (Adrian Wildt), are also involved in the project.
Interesting Facts
Although the basis for creating a series and full-length director Zack Snidder 2009 serves one comic, the plot of new "guardians" has undergone significant changes. Therefore, there is no link between the starting project and the film - the series is based on comic. However, it has a lot of reference to the Snidder picture.Alan Moore, the author of the original, participating in writing the project scenario, considers its own works impossible to embody on the screen. Although by 2019, no longer one film was removed based on the works of the writer, until Moore never agreed to indicate its behalf in the credits.
