There is a version that in this hero Cyrus Bulychev satirically portrayed his noisy and good-natured friend from Georgia. The name of the native planet is cumbersome - Chumozy - this is a reference to his native city: Tbilisi = Tiflis - "Tiff Lis" - "Plag of Roses". In the favor of this version, it also says that in the illustrations to the first edition of the Ageny, a funny alien is depicted in the headdress, similar to Circass.

The character comes from the planet of Chumoros. Commmouring is distinguished by a very impressive appearance, reminding at the same time an elephant and octopus: he is heightened 2 times higher earthlings, instead of his hands and legs he has a tentacle. Despite the stray lifestyle, the cumbersome still have a family - a wife and four children who are waiting for him on Chumaros.
With Alice's father, the archaeologist met in dramatic circumstances: if it were not for the interference of Professor Seleznev, the next adventure would end for cumbersome. Since then, he considers it obliged to take care of their family, which, however, does not prevent him from involving them into new adventures. With Alice Seleznev, they are close friends: the girl appreciates his tactfulness and kindness, and the aliens are surprisingly carefully applies to a small friend, seeks to fulfill her desires and believes that his father is too strict.
Moma in cartoons and films
In the cartoon "The Mystery of the Third Planet", the bulky is poorly consistent with the book description. The authors made him a little man, giving a normal face and hands.
