Biography

Simple Plan continues to create and conquers hearts of fans with bright and driving compositions. The albums of the team disagree with huge circulations, and the tracks fall into the Western charts. In addition to the compositions in the spirit of progressive pop rock, the musicians created original soundtracks to several series of popular animation series Scoobi-Du.

The history of creation and composition

The group was created in 1999 in Montreal by two school buddies, Pierre Buvier and Chuck Como. The young men were playing together together, then their creative ways were separated - each formed a solo musical project. Having met again, the guys decided to forget the old resentment and create a group that performs a powerful alternative rock. The project includes two more musicians. Interesting the history of creating the name of the team. It was decided to take the name of the popular film 1998 "Simple Plan".

The name turned out to be symbolic - so young and bold performers wanted to show the audience that they did not intend to spend their lives on gray office weekdays. And music is a simple plan for achieving a dream, finding freedom. Until 2000, the guys performed as a quartet, but soon a fifth participant appeared in the team - Bass guitarist David Daerosier. This allowed Bouvier, previously played on the bass guitar and speaking as a vocalist, focus on vocals.

Music

The debut performance in the new composition took place in 2001. The producer of the team became Andy Carr, with which the musicians concluded a contract. By the beginning of 2002, the group prepared the material for the first record, but the recording studios refused to cooperate with the young and almost nobody project. However, the participants of the group did not lose hope, and soon they received a proposal from representatives of Coalition Entertainment. With the assistance of the label, the musicians began recording the debut album NO Pads, No Helmets ... Just Balls.

An interesting plate did not only the original execution of the participants, but also the fact that some album compositions are recorded together with the stars of the Western alternative scene - Mark Hoppus from Blink-182, Joel Madden from Good Charlotte and others. Initially, the record did not use the audience in demand. However, separate singles with tracks from the album, as well as the clips shot on them in a short time brought the group popularity.

Mostly texts of songs are designed for adolescents. They appealed to problems close and clear most young people. Strong lyrical foundation was supported by a powerful driving sound. This approach brought the team long-awaited success. By the end of 2002, the musicians presented an album in Japan. In 2003, the team members performed on the heating of Avril Lavin, Green Day and Good Charlotte.

In 2004, the team released the 2nd album Still Not Getting Any ... This time the musicians decided to change the musical concept, go beyond pop punk. The plate was replenished with compositions in the genres of Power Pop, Emo-Pop, alternative rock and other musical directions. Fans have positively perceived updates, the album received good feedback from critics.

Despite the fact that the tracks were not broadcast on the radio, the record was separated on both sides of the ocean by millions of chairs. The album seemed to critics stronger than the debut work of the musicians. The team participants did not stop in creativity, and in 2008 their discography was replenished with a SIMPLE PLAN disk. This time, the performers decided to drag the compositions, turned in texts of songs to social problems.

Although the release received positive feedback, the musicians felt that the audience had a lung, positive sound. Next Plate Get Your Heart ON! It turned out to be close in spirit to the two first albums of the team. In a similar style, the group recorded the 5th disk.
