Actor was born in Riga in the last month of the summer of 1940. Polish Blood flows in Poulass's veins: Parents - immigrants from Poland. Before the war, the wealthy family of winemaker Butkevich owned wine business, factory and sewing workshop. In the late 1950s, Paul graduated from high school, a year earlier - musical, where he studied in the class of violin. He dreamed of becoming a musician, but harsh reality dictated her conditions. Labor weekdays at the factory did not extinguish the creative spark in Paula Butkevich: he worked and in parallel studied at the Rainis Theater Studio. Later he was entrusted to lead the amateur team of the factory palace of culture.
An attempt to get a higher education and the "solid" profession ended with nothing: entered the University of Latvia, Butkevich chose jurisprudence. Having studied a year, moved to the historical faculty, but it was still no more than a year. After graduating from the Theater Studio Rainis, no longer made attempts to go somewhere else.
Personal life
Powl Butkevich's growth - 1.86 m. In his youth, beauty-colleagues and fans looked at the state-haired man with green eyes, but the artist gave preference to one, with which he lived 25 years. Wife gave birth to her husband daughter Anna. What caused parting is unknown: Butkevich does not apply to personal life.The second marriage turned out to be short-term. With the third spouse, the artist on the costumes of Zicta Yanson lives today. They have no common children.
Films
The cinematic biography of Latvian started in the mid-1960s without separation from the factory work. In joke, Paul Butkevich called himself a "worker". The debut in the film "Oath of Hippocrata" was successful. In the film, published on the screens in 1965, Butkevich played a hero named Imante Wende. From now on, it is removed continuously.
Two years later, the audience saw a young artist in the paintings "Breathe deeper" and "strong spirit". The first shot in the Riga film studio, the second - on Sverdlovsk.

In the 1990s, the decline of Soviet cinema was reflected in the career of the artist: he starred little. And yet, the audience saw Butkevich in the militant "Rats, or Night Mafia" and the adventure TV shows "Vivat, Martemarina!" and "Alaska Kid".
In 2000, Paul Paulovich only sometimes flashed on the screens in episodes. Three infarction, which happened one after another became the cause of the rare appearance on the set. The last film was the Latvian "hostage", which came out in 2006.
Paul Butkevich now
The artist is not removed, but occasionally pleases fellow countrymen with concerts that are performed by author's songs. Now Paul Butkevich lives in a cozy house in the Latvian province.
