Talented trainer, in the past, the same successful footballer Ernesto Valverde is known to many Spanish fans. In the whole career, he managed to play for various clubs of his native country, but most of all spent in Athletic Bilbao, and when he finished playing himself, began to transfer his experience and knowledge to young athletes.Childhood and youth
Ernesto was born in the winter of 1964 in the Spanish city of Vyandar de la Vera. About the children's years, his biography is not known, just as when he became interested in sports. Probably, football attracted him from an early age, and otherwise the man would not make such a successful career in this sport.

Football
The career in Valverde's youth clubs began with San Ignacio to the position of the striker, then he advocated "Allas", and then he moved to Espanyol, where he stayed in Espanyol. In an adult football made his debut in 1983, when he began to play the "Allas" again, then he spent the year in Sporta Sport, and in 1987 he got into Espanyol, but already in adult.
Performances for the last team of the young man attracted the attention of representatives of the coaching headquarters of the club "Barcelona", which in 1988 invited the young athlete to join where he stayed the next 2 seasons. During this period, the footballer infrequently appeared on the field, but was distinguished by stable performance. With the "blue-grenade" in one year he managed to conquer the Cup of UEFA Cups, and the next year - to get the Cup of Spain.
In 1990, Valverde concluded a contract with the Spanish Athletic Bilbao club, in which he subsequently spent the most seasons. In his youth, he was active and assessing, sought to leadership, and therefore most of the time played the basis of the composition. In 6 years, the man spent 170 games and scored 44 goals in the gate of opponents. After that, another year stayed in Mallorca, and then announced the cessation of the game career.
The excellent game of Ernesto celebrated not only coaches of individual clubs. In 1986, the athlete performed for the youth national team of Spain on football, and in the 1990s for adulth. Although Valverde announced the cessation of a career, about what leaves sports, the man did not say, just decided to switch to the coaching staff and in 2001 began to work at Athlete Bilbao. First, he trained players from the youth team, and later got into the coaching headquarters of the base. After spending 4 years, Ernesto concluded a contract with representatives of the club "Espanyol". There, he also showed good results, his best achievement in this team became an exit to the UEFA Cup final.
In 2008, Ernesto decided to move to Greece and already there became the highest paid coach in Greek football, working with the local team Olympiacos. In the first year they managed to become Greece champions and winners of the Greek Cup. True, such success did not stop Walverde from the transition to the Spanish "Villarreal", where he took the place of the chief coach of the club. But after a year, Ernesto was fired, so he returned to Olympiacos. Here the man spent 2 more seasons, brought the team to the 1st place in the Greek Championship and again took the Cup of Greece.
In the 2012/2013 season, Valvend has trained the players of the Valencia club, and after returned to Atletik Bilbao. Under his leadership in 2015, "Red-White" managed to win the Super Cup of Spain for the first time in 30 years. In 2017, Ernesto became the head coach of Barcelona, whose captain is Lionel Messi.
