The history of Nazareth began to be written in Scottish Dunfermlin in 1968, when the musicians from the local Caver Group The Shadettes took over the new name and became infected with an ambitious goal to break out of the native city. The popularity has not come immediately. Nazareth wrote songs, released albums, but until 1973 he almost did not speak about it. And this is despite the fact that rockers organically poured into a party and firmly friends with such rock scene stars like Deep Purple. Their keyboard player John Lord even helped the Scots in the Rampant record record.
By 1990, the musicians have already achieved fame and success, having passed a joint 22-year-old way, but at this moment there are first serious loss: Manny Charlton declares his intention to leave the group. A guitarist Billy Rankin comes to replace him, who managed to play a team in the 1980s for a couple of years. In 1995 he replaces his Jimmy Murrison, playing Nazareth and now.
The next changes in the composition were caused by tragic circumstances: in 1999, the drummer Darel Sweet died suddenly from a heart attack. This sad event almost led to the breakdown of the group, but, seriously discussed the situation, the team decided to continue, taking to the position of the striker Li Egni - the son of Basist Pit Egni.
In 2013, Nazareth lost a permanent soloist and the frontman of Dan McCaparti, who fell ill with emphysema lungs and considered unacceptable to remain in the team, without having the opportunity to give concerts in full force. Linton Osborne came to his position, which Karl Sentans soon changed, he remains a vocalist of the legendary group to this day.
Music
The Nazareth Debut Album with a photo of a quartet on the cover was released in 1971 under the name of the same name. He did not bring fame and money, but the musicians continued to be started. The first step to popularity was the performance at Deep Purple during their tour of the United States. Among them, Love Hurts, which is considered a Nazareth business card, despite the fact that the composition belongs to Everly Brothers.
In the 1970s, Rockers from Scotland become stars. Their glory does not fade in the 1980s when the band decides to take a course to mitigate the style and moves to a softer sound.
