Childhood and youth

Robert Guk was born 18 (28) July 1635 in Freshwoter, United Kingdom. He was the youngest of the four children of the priest of the Anglican Church of John Dunga. The father hoped that the Son would continue his work, but the boy was painful and weak. He had to translate to home learning.

The future scientist since childhood was interested in mechanics and painting.
