Biography
The Rostov Group of Motorama has become one of the few representatives of the genre of POSPANCE and Indy-Rock, which is more popular in Latin America, Europe and Asia than in Russia. Talented musicians managed to buy thousands of fans among lovers of such music. The lyrics of their songs sound in English, which helps to attract to creativity and foreign youth.The history of creation and composition
What started the history of the creation of the Motorama group is unknown, but one thing is clear: all participants unites love for music. By the way, the composition in which the team acts now was not immediately formed. Earlier, the romance was sent to the Roman whlen, Vadim Kvasov and Oleg Chernov, now, now Mikhail Nikulin is occupied. At different times, Eugene Chervone and Vasily Yakovenko played on the bass guitar, and the latter also performed as a soloist. The keyboard player was Alexander Noles.
In the current composition of only 4 participants. This is the already mentioned drummer Mikhail Nikulin, Vladislav Parshin - vocalist, guitarist and keyboard player in one face, no less universal musician Maxim Polyvanov (guitar, keyboards and bass guitar) and charming bass guitarist Irina Pashina. She is engaged in organizational moments, management and concerts.
All members of the group come from Rostov-on-Don. The clips are often found to refer to the modern and Soviet Rostov, periodically appear types of rivers and forests of the Rostov region, as well as Heraldry of the city. Sometimes for videos of songs they use cuts from old documentaries.
Music
The release of the first mini-album Horse took place in 2008, and after a year, the musicians presented another EP BEAR. Originally, Motorama played only the postpunk, and the voice of the vocalist was often compared with the singing of the Solist of the British rock band Joy Division and for some time accused musicians in copying the work of the famous Britons. The situation has changed only after the release of the first full-length ALPS disk in 2010. In new songs, the intonation of the style of Twi-pop, neoromantics and New Vave was clearly traced. In general, the sound was changed, the songs of the group ceased to be depressive.This followed the output of the single Moment single, and Motorama went to the European touring tour, during which 20 cities visited. Creativity of musicians has already been popular in Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, France and Holland. In the breaks, they managed to perform at the festivals of Steleoleto, Exit and Strelka Sound. And in 2012, the first concerts of the group in Latin America took place.
In the same year, after a concert in Tallinn, the representative of the French company Talitres was contacted with the team, who offered artists to releasing their old album or enter the next one. After examining the clients of the company, they thought and agreed. Therefore, their 4th Calendar disk came out already on the new label. The following company was engaged in the next (Poverty) record.
Over time, Motorama's music has become popular in Asia, without fear, the team decides to make a tour of China, to give 2 concerts in Japan and in Taiwan. No less warmly met by the public of Latin America, the musicians visited Mexico, Peru, Chile and Argentina.
In 2016, a new Dialogues album appeared in the group's discography, and another Many Nights will be represented by listeners in 2018.
Motorama now
The Motorama group continues to delight fans with new songs and numerous concerts. In early 2019, the musicians held a concert tour, which began with St. Petersburg and Moscow. But, as always, the geography of trips has more covered European countries. Although in foreign trips, they spend a lot of time, all representatives also live in Rostov-on-Don and in the near future do not plan to move.
