The director of the film "Ice" became Oleg Trofim, for which this work was debut. But he had a rich experience in filming video clips. As a result, sports melodrama found a kind of musical, where each of the main characters turned out to be a kind of musical theme.
Casting for the role of basic characters occurred with varying success. And if Milosh Bikovich, who played Figurist Vladimir Leonov, was approved immediately after samples, then with the search for Alexander Gorina, doubts arose.
Alexander Petrov during the study of the script and casting already worked with Fedor Bondarchuk in the painting "Attraction". About what is looking for actors, found out what is called, through third parties. Petrov admitted an interview that he had dreamed of calling him to play in the film.

The filmmakers are recognized that they used in writing the scenario of the history of famous athletes, so each of the characters became a certain collective way. However, in the broad sense of "Ice" - this is an artistic fiction, a beautiful fairy tale of love and a miracle.

One day, a hockey player occurs conflict with another player, and he accidentally strikes the coach of hope - Irina Shatalin. Such a misconduct threatens dismissal, but the wise mentor nipshina sees benefits in this situation. She offers a guy deal: Gorin helps a girl in a wheelchair to perky spirit, and Shatalina, in turn, promises to return the hockey player to the team.
Alexander does not remain anything else, as agreed to such conditions. First, the relationship between him and hope is not the best. For hockey player, it is a hopeless disabled with whom he is forced to mess around. And for the noodle - another reminder of your own helplessness.
Sasha frankly mocks the girl, using the defenselessness of the ward. But, bringing Lapshina to despair, understands how much figure skater is unhappy. Then Gorin puts himself the task - certainly put a girlfriend to his feet. Using a happy "talisman" - a lace from her first skates, he is trying to spend autotraining, forcing Nadia to pronounce the words: "I feel power."
Fascinating, Sasha does not notice how it goes on the road, where he knocks him down. Nadia in shock jumps on his feet, surviving for the Gorina. Fear for a friend makes the girl to forget about medical sentences. Hockey player with triple efforts is engaged in a girl in the gym, where Lapshina is completely restored and rises again.

Vladimir meets with Sasha and convinces the guy that Nadya is worthy of more in sports, and Gorin will not give her such opportunity. The sorry hockey player makes a difficult choice and throws the lover to get a chance to become a champion.
But these victims were in vain. Nadia leaves for Moscow to speak with Leonov. On the first leaving on the ice, the figure skater falls again. Doctors say that her problem is in psychosomatics, Lapshin simply cannot ride anyone, except with Alexander.
Sasha, seeing a friend's failure on TV, makes a decision to go to Moscow to support Nadia. Everything happens on time - by the time of his arrival, the girl remains one on the ice during the display of an arbitrary program, as Leonov Stroxy and did not come out with a partner.
Gorin understands that this is the end of a career nadine. But leave everything as it is - not in the character of a hockey player. The guy makes Leonova to give clothes and rolls out on the ice to the crying figure skater. There, before a few thousand spectators live, the guy is confessed in love.

Therefore, a few years later, Gorin decides to return to the sport, which is not so simple due to a long interruption. Nevertheless, for this hero, persistence, the desire and ability to achieve their goals are not common words, but life motto.
