Biography

An outstanding playwright Emil Braginsky wrote scenarios for dozens of films and received the USSR State Prize in 1977. People still look at the comedies created together with Eldar Ryazanov, who glorify the love of life, justice and kindness.

Childhood and youth

Emil, or Emmanuel, Veniaminovich Braginsky, the former Jew for Nationality, was born in November 1921 in the family of Moscow professional doctors. Gynecologist Veniamin Pavlovich and Surgeon Sophia Borisovna lived in the center of the capital and brought up two children.

At school, the boy came to the company of peers represented by the intelligentsia, so read the books of classics and wrote stories and poems. At the age of 9, he lost his mother, so I moved to the sister Anna, and in such an atmosphere, it was simply impossible to think about creativity.

The father met another woman and did not follow the development of the Son, who decided to continue the name tradition and entered the Medical Institute. The war interrupted his studies, and Braginsky went to the construction of fortifications, hoping that there would be no emotion, arms and legs at a dangerous moment.

Unfortunately, the young man failed to avoid injury, and he was sent to evacuation to the old town of Dushanbe. He worked at a local hospital, helping seriously edged, and in his free time she mastered chess, completely giving up this game.

In the post-war, a new passion made from Emil Correspondent to whom the newspaper "Soviet Latvia" instructed to cover the All-Union Tournament. Personal life

In his youth, the wife of Braginsky became the classmate Irma Shelyto, and then the family was replenished with the son of Viktor, who entered the artistic faculty. Judging by a rare photo from the archives, the couple was happy in marriage and, despite the tight schedule of Emil, held together for many years.

Films

In 1955, Emil Veniaminovich left journalism and with the text of a debut comedy went to the Moscow Theater. The Soviet director Alexander Aronov agreed to make a production after opened the manuscript and read several chapters.

On the play "Opened Window", the public died from laughter, especially since the leaders were Evgeny Leonov and Maya Mengelt. Behind the scenes, the screenwriter met the cinematographer Eldar Ryazanov, and later the men created an outstanding creative duet.

Touching detective "Beware of the car" became the first joint job of the authors, but at the beginning of the filming, the leadership of Mosfilm ordered the process. The work resumed after the publication of the work in the literary journal, and the completed comedy caused unprecedented audience interest.

The success of the comedy led to the replenishment jointly with Eldar Ryazanovy filmography and the emergence of paintings "Zigzag Good luck", "Garage" and "Service Novel". Separately, from the co-author, Emil created a number of performances for the theater, which after the stage on the scene switched to the cinema. Among them were "game of imagination", "almost a funny story", "Justa vanity", "Teacher of singing" and "Detective for seven persons".

Death

In 1975, Braginsky had a heart attack, and on forecasts of cardiologists to live for several days. However, after discharge from the Moscow Hospital, the screenwriter forgot about health problems and continued to create films to please the audience.

Only after 23 years after, returning from a passage trip, Emil Veniaminovich felt bad at Sheremetyevo-2 airport. With a sudden death due to a heart attack, which happened after planting an aircraft, there were ambulance doctors and the only wife.
