Biography
Ukrainian rock band Power Tale writes songs based on fairy tales and framing them in a metal opera genre. The names of the collective albums are reminded of the fairy tales of Alexander Volkov, where Ellie travels along a magical country. Obolo operating the plot, the multi-bearing musicians sings about the adventures of favorite heroes, accompanying vocals with powerful guitar reefs, ballads solo and convincing rhythm sections.The history of creation and composition
The history of the creation of Power Tale originates in 2013, when a group of like-minded people from Lugansk caught fire from the idea of creating rock opera based on Alexander Volkov's fairy tales. Participants did not take the popular Western fantasy-plots, but turned to the beloved children's literature, from which at an early age could not break away.
In connection with the troubled position in Motherland, the musicians were forced to move to Kharkov. Because of this, the team of the team left the guitarist Dmitry Ulbabov and the striker Evgeny Burym. The process of creating the 1st album was delayed, in the creation of which the author of music, texts and vocalist Stanislav Stan Osychnyuk, guitarist Andrei Atanov, Drummer Denis Mashchenko and a whole army of vocalists and invited musicians.
Power Tale planned to make a project with high-quality and large-scale, and therefore came to business as serious as possible. The lacking funds for the release of the plates, performers collected through the planet plating platform, thanks to which more than 100 thousand rubles were obtained. The money was enough to make the debut disc in 2016 on the Labells of the Music and SOUNDAGE.
The composition of Power Tale has undergone gradual changes and by 2019 included Stanislav Zaychnyuk, guitarists and arrangers of Roman Antonenkova and Alexander GMyry, Vocalists Sergei Brykov, Dmitry Lenkovsky and Veronica Zavyalov, Drummer Valentina Kiro. Session musicians, invited vocalists and choir participants are calculated in tens.
Music
The first implemented project was metal-opera "Urfin Jus and his wooden soldiers", created by the efforts of tens of people. The plot of the authors were distilled freely, removing from the work the main heroine of Ellie, but making a romantic intrigue in the form of complex relations of Urphine Jus and Stella's wizard. Here the Character of the Eagle of the Carfax appears, which wolves introduce only in the 4th book series.A little later discography Power Tale has been replenished with the conceptual album "Seven Underground Kings", published in March 2018. The team appears fans, positively adopted their creative experiment, and the Ukrainians continue to be launched, not leaving the selected fabulous plot.
Power Tale now
In 2019, the Group presented another metal-opera "Fire God of Marranov", which is more than one and a half hours. The equipment on the plate was also collected through crowdfunding. Dozens of invited performers participated in the record, among whom Peter Elphimov, he got a walrock party.
Double CD with 19 tracks is complemented by a full-fledged libretto, revealing characters and plot lines. And the concerts on which Power Tale presents the album turn into full-fledged productions. In 2020, the musicians promised to issue a stage embodiment of a metal opera on DVD. And now they are in clubs and at art sites, giving the rock lovers in the enjoyment of a living sound.
Communication with fans Ukrainians support through social networks "VKontakte" and "Instagram", where there are fresh photos and announcements of performances. Video from concerts and collective clips are presented on YouTube Channel.
