The Korean Vocal Program The King Of Mask Singer is taken as the basis of the show "Mask", in the entire history of creating more than 50 analogues around the world, including the American version called The Masked Singer. The format has conquered the audience using live sound and intrigue atmosphere.
The rights to adapt the music show for the Russian public bought the NTV television channel. According to the general producer of Timur Weinstein, the program combines the story features of The Voice, American Idol and The X-Factor vocal competition, but at the same time surprising the audience with originality and bright ideas.
According to the rules of the project, 12 applicants are competed in the 1st season, whose names are known to the Russian public. These are actors, singers, TV presenters and stars show business. But they are all hiding under costumes created for each contestant. On the stage, participants should be unrecognizable to change the timbre and manner of execution. Since some of the issues have not yet been completed, the creators had to change the format and be from the presence of viewers in the hall. All decisions on the participants were entrusted to the judges. After that, the exposure of the spider (Elena Katina) and Tuchi (Svetlana Masterkova) followed.
The audience followed the news "Masks" not only on TV, but also in the official instructions of "Instagram" and "Vkontakte", where video and photos are published.
February 14, 2021 came out the 2nd season of the popular TV show. Vyacheslav Makarov also made the leading, and among the members of the jury there were changes - Martirosyan replaced Alexander Revva. From 12 to 14 the number of participants has increased.
