Biography

Serge Golon is known as a writer, together with his wife I gave the readers legendary "Angelica" - a series of novels about the French aristocrat of extraordinary beauty. Only a little is known that in fact the Russian man was hiding under this alias, Vsevolod of Golubinov, who was a talented scientist, and there was an indirect attitude towards literary activities.

Childhood and youth

Vsevolod Sergeevich Golubinov was the son of the Russian Consul in Iran. He was born in Bukhara on August 23, 1903, and his childhood spent in Ishafan in the city. The revolution forced the family to return home, where the boy studied in the Sevastopol gymnasium, and after her end, he was unsuccessful to join the White Army. As a result, at the age of 17, the future Serge Golon, along with his parents, was in France, fleeing the persecution of the Bolsheviks.

In the new homeland, Vsevolod took up the study of chemistry and mineralogy and only for 3 years demonstrated such brilliant successes that he received the title of Doctor of Science, the youngest in the country at that time. Having received academic recognition and position of a mining engineer in a large company, Golubinov did not leave school, continuing to study mathematics, physics, geology and mechanical engineering.

The whole talented scientist received 8 master's degrees and mastered 15 foreign languages. During the work, he visited many countries of Asia and Africa, fulfilling the instructions of the French government and major mineral companies. For deep and comprehensive education, fearless and curiosity African tribes nicknamed Golubinov White Wizard.

The next stage of the biography of Vsevolod Sergeevich was the Second World War. He did not stay aside and joined General Charle de Gavel than signed a death sentence from the Government of Vichy, and only outstanding scientific merit saved Golubinov from execution. Thanks to the gold deposit discovered by them, the free France movement received finances for arming the army and restoring the state.

Personal life

With the young journalist Simona S. S. Shanuho, Golubinov met in Chad. The girl at that time traveled in Africa and wrote a report under the pseudonym Joeel Dantern. In 1948, young people got married. Four children were born in the spouses - the sons of Kirill and Pierre, the daughter of Nadin and Marina.

Books

Although Golubinov became famous as a writer, his true relationship with literature was not easy: the author's glory did not care about him, the money was not interested, and he treated with contempt into entertainment books. At the same time, contemporaries well understood that the richest life experience of Vsevolod Sergeyevich and his knowledge should not blame for nothing.

The first literary experience of the Russian-French scientist was the children's book "Gift Reza-Khan", written in 1947 in collaboration with a young writer, whose name left unknown. She narrated the history of one of the souvenirs stored at Golubinov. Vsevolod Sergeyevich became a teller and consultant, agreed to put on the cover of the Golon's pseudonym invented by him, and actually writing a colleague. The public warmly accepted the book, their joint creativity was even awarded the award, but the money with the copyright rights of Golubinov completely transferred to the co-auto.

Gold plaque memories of men were useful and later when he had lost their work for political reasons. At first, he together with his wife wrote articles about China, Laos and Africa, and then moved to full-fledged novels. In 1954, the book "Among wild animals" was published, and in the 1959th - "Lake Giants".

The idea of the novel about the French adventurer belonged to Simone - to create an epic work, in which a bold heroine would act with a stormy personal life, was her baby dream. The spouse helped in search of the material (for example, found information about the poor noble family, which then entered the novel as a description of his native Angelica), found a publisher and agreed on publications.

At the insistence of Simons, they signed a contract as Ann and Serge Golon. She highly appreciated the merit and support of her husband and refused the sole authorship, although the entire literary part was on it. The representatives of the publisher insisted on the men's name on the cover, considering the readers written by the woman the book would not take seriously.

Bibliography Ann Golon has dozens of novels, and works about Angelica, which could be considered joint, came nine. Based on the six novels from the book series later films were shot. Simona Shanvo admitted that her husband's main heroine Joffrey de Peiiraka was chosen from Vsevolod.

Death

In 1972, Vsevolod Golubinov did not. The cause of death became a stroke. The disease overtook him in Quebec, where he was preparing an art exhibition. At that time, Simon worked on the search for the material for the 10th book on Angelica. The death of the spouse became a heavy blow to her, she survived Vsevolod for 45 years, trying to write every day at least little. With the help of grew children, Anne Golon returned the copyrights of the books and the adaptation, which she was taken by deception, and restored the entire series of Angelica in its original form by throwing rude edits and add-written fragments.
