Biography

The world of music is not rich in groups whose hits are familiar to everyone from Mala to Great. AC / DC rockers were lucky to become one of these teams. The peak of popularity falls in the 1980s and 1990s, but even now, in the 21st century, no youth rave, no mass event costs without Highway To Hell, Thunderstruck and Back in Black.

The history of creation and composition

In November 1973, the History of AC / DC began in Sydney. The idea belonged to Malcolmu's brothers and Angus Yang - Narins of Scotland, who were previously moved with his family to Australia for 10 years due to an abnormal cold winter.

Musicians who have strengthened the composition at the beginning of the creative way, did not stay for a long time: Colin Burgess played the drums for no more than a year, the soloist Dave Evans left in 1974, Bass Gitarist Harry Wang Cridt lasted until 1975.

To this day, Angus Young remains the only permanent participant of AC / DC. Malcolm removed the rhythm guitar from the shoulder in 2014, completing the 40-year-old way with the group. Also among the "long-livers" - the bass guitarist Cliff Williams, who played in the team of 39 years, and Brian Johnson - his voice sounded at concerts and rocker records of 36 years.

The name came up with Margaret Young, Sister of Musicians. Pented with needlework, the girl once saw an inscription AC / DC on her sewing machine. It means "alternating current / constant current". The performers decided that the abbreviation would serve as an accurate description of their energetically charged creativity.

Critics include the team to hard-rock, heavy metal and blues-rock, but the group itself describes the genre in which it plays wider and easier - rock and roll.

Music

Band chronology is easier to lead along vocalists. So, in 1974, Era Bon Scott came. With him, the group recorded his debut album High Voltage (1975) and achieved global success, toured with "Mastodonts" of Hard-rock Black Sabbath and Rainbow. Abstract Scott owns 90% of lyrics with AC / DC plates until 1979, including T.N.T. And Highway To Hell.

If the tragedy did not follow in 1980, Bon Scott would remain a permanent voice - the fans say. He was the spirit of the group, her muse, one of the leaders. The artist wanted typical for rock stars addiction: drugs and alcohol.

Bon Scott died on February 19, 1980, at the 33rd year of life. The official cause of death, the coroners called acute alcohol poisoning. Jesse Fink, Biographer, in his book Bon: The Last Highway (2017) indicated that the vocalist killed an overdose of heroin.

After the death of the 1st Vocalist, the group was thinking about decay. At the continuation of the story, the parents of the deceased insisted. I had to look for a new artist. In 1980, Era Bryan Johnson began. Later Angus Young recalled:

"For the first time, Brian's name I heard Scott. He said like this: "Brian Johnson is the Great Rock and Roller, the second Little Richard." But Little Richard was for Scott idol! When we decided to continue the story of AC / DC, Brian Johnson became the first vocalist, whom I wanted to hear Malcolm. "

Officially, Brian Johnson became a vocalist on April 1, 1980. The first thing the group in the updated lineup was engaged, "added the legendary Album Back In Black (1980). He gave rise to Hells Bells hits, You Shook Me All Night Long, Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution and Back In Black and became the most famous AC / DC discography at that time.

Failure followed success. Death of Scott, change of producer, narcotic and alcohol dependence of the drummer of Fila Radda and his dismissal, hitting the Rating of Kerrang magazine! "Frustration of 1984" complicated not only the creativity of the team, but also the relationship of his participants. Only by 1988, thanks to the 11th Studio Album, Blow Up Your Video Rockers managed to return to the system.

In the 1990s and 2000s, AC / DC supported the love of fans of concert films, deluxe publications with photos and stories, new clips. Rockers made 4 major tour, the final of which is Black Ice World Tour - ranks 4th in the ranking of the most successful worldwide. Tours included 168 shows that brought $ 441 million (at the rate of 2019 - $ 517 million).

However, time went and did not gem the musicians. In 2016 Rock or Bust World Tour, it was threatened due to the fact that Brian Johnson began to rapidly lose his hearing. On November 18, 2017, 64-year-old Malcolm Young, who by that time rarely went to the scene.

Johnson's problems with hearing posted the beginning of Ere Exla Rose, the former leader Guns N 'Roses. At first it was called a temporary vocalist. After the final show Rock or Bust World Tour, he fully entered his rights.

AC / DC now

The composition is now included by Vocalist Exle Rose, Solo-guitarist Angus Young, Rhythm Guitarist Stevie Young (Malcolm's nephew) and drummer Chris Slade. Nominally group exists, but the activity does not lead.
