Kirre Gorell-Dahl (Kygo) was born on September 11, 1991 in the Republic of Singapore. The mother's mother was a dentist, and his father worked in the maritime industry and instilled his love for traveling from childhood. Even in the early years, he managed to visit Brazil, Japan and Egypt, but soon the family was assieved in Norway.
Another Kirre became interested in playing the piano, followed by a clock, honing the skill. But in high schools, he decided to quit classes, and after became interested in creating music on a MIDI keyboard. The young man studied everything himself, looking at the lessons on Yutubeub.

The first steps to the glory of Kygo did in 2013, when he released a remix on the Marvin Gaye song called Sexual Healing, which rapidly gained an audience on the SoundCloud platform. His new hit of Stole The Show beat the listening records, and Kygo himself began to call the popularizer of the Tropical House genre. At the end of the year, Kirre announced the upcoming release of the debut album and went to the world tour in his support.
The cloud Nine record release took place in the spring of 2016 and was having delighted with fans, which allowed him to rise to the 1st line in the Norwegian ranking. The next year of DJ began with cooperation with the singer Selenaya Gomez, with which he recorded the IT AINT ME track. The composition quickly led the musical charts, and the clip scored millions of views on Yutubee. No less successful was a joint work with Ellie Golding, who gave fans to the hit First Time.
Soon, Kirre's discussed the 2nd album Kids in Love, after which the performer gave a series of concerts in support of his release and spoke at the Bosco Fresh Fest festival in Moscow. After returning to the tour in 2018, Kygo announced cooperation with the group Imagine Dragons. Already in June, the artists released the song Born to Be Yours, which won the special popularity in Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.
2019 also became for the star fruitful. Hit Carry On, recorded with the Rita of Ora, became a soundtrack for the film "Pokemon: Detective Pikachu". Gorell-Dal also presented the 1st Single in the Norwegian language Kem Kan Eg Ringe and created a remix on the Higher Love Singer Houston's composition. In January 2020, DJ presented a complemented version of the previously ended track of Avicii Forever Yours, the work on which began with the consent of the family of the deceased musician.
