By nationality, Shamil Zavarov - Darginets. He was born in the Kizilyurt district of Dagestan, in Kirovale, July 4, 1985. Like most peers, the boy was fond of sports and martial arts. Among the first directions in which Shamil received fighter skills, was Sambo, freestyle wrestling and wushu-santa.
For some time, the guy's mentor was Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, Master of Sports of the USSR for freestyle wrestling and father Habib Nurmagomedov. Already in his youth, a beginner athlete demonstrated the versatility of training. At 20, Shamil held the first fight within MMA. He represented Dagestan in a fight with an opponent from Azerbaijan. For 2 rounds of the Zavarov showed his superiority and came out of the winner.
