Childhood and youth

Yanka Bryl appeared on July 22 (August 4) of 1917 in Odessa. He became a late child and brought up in a large family. Parents were immigrants from Belarus, so they soon returned to their homeland and settled in the village of Zagora, which at that time was under the rule of Poland.

Yanka studied in Polish standards and successfully graduated from the seventel, then he entered the gymnasium. Personal life

When creating a story, memories of surviving residents of burned Belarusian villages were used. Later, the cycle of documentary films "Khatynski Tsykl" was removed on the motives.

Noteworthy "Mother" story ("Matsі"), which is considered a classic of Belarusian literature. He tells about a woman who was not afraid to shelter unusted redarmeys during the war. The "Orphanage" ("Soroch Bread"), started before the war, and Memento Mori are equally popular.
