Sergey was born on August 20, 1964 in Moscow in a creative intelligent family. Parents devoted career with art, their works are known both in Russia and far beyond the country. Despite the fascination with art, in his youth Sergey entered Madi (Moscow Automobile and Road State Technical University). Until 1997, after graduating university, he worked as a senior researcher at the department of applied mathematics. Since 1999, a man held the post of chief editor of the Art-Gazeta publication. He also worked as Chandeller's "Unified Art Rating" reference book, performed as a founder and keeper of the electronic scientific library "Rusarch", containing articles on the history of the Old Russian architecture.
At the beginning of zero, Zagrevsky began to teach disciplines at the Institute for Restoration Art. In 2005, he defended his doctoral dissertation dedicated to the study of the characteristics of the architecture of the Northeast Rus Rouge of the XIII-XIV centuries. The main scientific interests of the period for the researcher were the white-named architecture of ancient Russia, Rannonoskovsky architecture and other issues.
