During the existence of the Russian group of Wildways, participants managed to gain popularity not only in the countries of the post-Soviet space, but also in Europe and the United States. The deposit of success was attentive attitude towards fans, constant improvement of sound and the ability to stay in trend.The history of creation and composition
The history of the creation of a collective originates in 2009 in the city of Bryansk. Initially, the group consisted of Igor Starostin and Sergey Novikov, who joined the soloist Anatoly Borisov. Later they collected other talented musicians around themselves to start joint performances.
So participants of the young team were guitarist Eugene Leutin and the drummer Alexey Semaryov, which then changed Denis Pytkovsky and Kirill Ayuev, respectively. In addition, Vyacheslav Kavalas, who replaced the temporarily retired Pykovsky in the period from 2015 to 2016 for some time.
Music
The first rehearsals of musicians took place in the garage, where they gave their debut concert. Then the team was also called Sarah Where Is My TEA (Swimt) and performed songs mainly in English. The author of most tracks became Anatoly Borisov, who was inspired by world events and his own experiences.For the first time, the participants of the group declared themselves when they released a mini-album with the same name Sarah Where Is My Tea. In those years, artists created music in a metalcore genre, but were discovered to change.
The next step to popularity was the release of a full-format album Desolate, which traces the traction of performers to more melodic sound. The release was warmly greeted by fans, after which the musicians went on tour in the cities of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, and then conducted the first round of Europe.
This allowed participants to find fans abroad and increase interest in their music. Their second album Love & Honor was widely published and became the top of the work of Swimt. But after that, the stars decided that they want to move in the new direction. They changed the name on Wildways and began to record songs that sounded closer to the graduate genre.
The turning point in the history of the group was the output of the ticket to Till I Die Rapper Machine Gun Kelly, which they presented in 2015. The version of the composition recorded by the team stirred up the network, and the video scored hundreds of thousands views on "Youtyuba".
In addition, the performers got the opportunity to replenish their fan base with students from America. To create the release of INTO THE WILD, the participants went to the United States, where they collaborated with Cameron Mizelle, the producer who helped to disclose Sleeping with Sirens. Later, the soloist admitted that the work was fruitful and passed in a light and pleasant atmosphere.
But Russian fans reacted to the result of the group's creativity skeptical, as well as to the signing of a contract with a foreign label. ARTERY RECORDINGS. A provocative video for the song Faka Faka Yeah gathered a lot of negative and ambiguous reviews and was much warmer accepted by foreign listeners.
Later, Wildways also presented video on tracks 3 Seconds to Go, Princess and D.O.i.t., which were also perceived ambiguously. It took the time that Russian fans are accustomed to changing the sound and appreciated it. But as a result, the efforts of the participants did not disappear, and they again were on the wave of success.
In 2018, the musicians presented the Day X album, in which Borisov decided to reflect on the end of the world. Songs from the track list reveal the history of the hero, having learned that humanity will die in 30 days. The character is experiencing strong emotional experiences and is trying to find salvation both in religion and for prohibited substances.
After the release of the artists again went to the tour, and then pleased fans from Russia, the release of a mini-album in Russian. He got the name "New Skul" and helped the musicians to breathe a new life in his work.
Wildways now
In 2020, the team replenished with an ANNA album discography. The plate was based on a soloist's reflection on the unattainable female ideal and what love is. In tracks rise themes, loneliness, hatred and first love. The enthusiastic reviews of the listeners were honored with the songs of Horizon and Havana, but others did not go out.
Now the stars continue to delight fans with new compositions and performances. They lead a page in "Instagram" and the official website, where publish the photo and report news.
