The history of the creation of a collective originates in 2011 in sunny California. Attokov was a soloist Jessie Rutherford, Drummer Brian Sammis, as well as Guitarists Zac Ebeles, Jeremy Friedman and Margot T-shirts.
They were friends from school times, but played in different groups, until they decided to unite for the creation of a project called The Neighborhood, or the NBHD. In the future, the composition changed only once, when Sammis left, who replaced Brandon Fried.

Even before the participation of popularity, they decided that they would adhere to a single color scheme in clothes and in everything else relating to the project. So there were black and white clips and photos that helped to achieve atmospheric in creativity. Musicians even created a mixture # 000000 & #FFFFFF, its name indicates the color codes of black and white. The record was instructed by YG, FRENCH MONTANA and G-EAZY.
In addition, the performers put the goal to produce not just music, but high-quality content. Therefore, the release of each track was accompanied by a large number of materials on the process of working on it. Thus, participants wanted to show that the recording of a new song is a long and time-consuming path, which overcomes artists for the sake of fans.
It is not surprising that after the first appearance on the musical arena The NBHD was awaited. The debut release I Love You entered the top 10 American alternative charts and rock albums. Among the reasons that have allowed to win the love of fans around the world, - emotionality and autobiographicness of songs. Already the first compositions were close to each adolescent, because they were written on the basis of the experiences of the team participants.
The artists have demonstrated high productivity, literally pouring EP fans that did not give them to rush to the release of the second album called Wiped Out!. He conquered the audience with such tracks as The Beach and Daddy Issues used as advertising singles.
After the release, the performers went to the European Tour, in which they visited Moscow and St. Petersburg. Later they admitted that they feel a special connection with Russian fans, because they were even warmer than in the United States.
The next bright moment in the history of the group was the release of Hard to Imagine The NeighbourHood Ever Changing, which contained 21 compositions. The track list included Scary Love, Nervous, Heaven and Paradise, who were excited by listeners with delight.
THE NIGHBOURHOOD Now
In 2020, the discography of the performers replenished with the new album Chip Chrome & The Mono-Tones. In connection with the release, the vocalist of the group presented his alter ego - a musician named Chip Chrome, the image of which was inspired by Ziggy Stardast David Bowie. The character carries a silver tight suit from the spandex and is experiencing painful dependence on the Internet. Jesse came up with him at that time when he decided to abandon social networks and enjoyed them for 9 months.
When working on the album, artists sought to achieve retriveing. They were inspired by the films and hits of the musicians of the era of the 70-80s. It was not without the usual reflections to personal experience and philosophical reflections, which were reflected in the songs of Tobacco Sunburst, Silver Lining and The Mono-Tones. Cherry Flavoured was used as a single.
