Irina Vladimirovna Kazakevich was born on October 29, 1997 in Berdsk, Novosibirsk region. Soon parents moved to Omsk, and then to Yekaterinburg. There, biathlete lives now. In her opinion, this is the perfect city: not as small as Berdsk, and not so noisy as Moscow.

The girl graduated from the Ural State University of Physical Culture, where the football player Oleg Shatov also studied.
