Mikhail Drang was born on March 17, 1981 in the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk. He and members of his family by nationality Jews. Boy raised parents and grandmother. In school No. 11, Misha studied with honors, received a gold medal.

After school, the future producer entered the Krasnoyarsk State Agricultural University, where he received a legal education. On the 4th course went to Moscow to pass internship at the Educational Institute of European Law at MGIMO. He worked with the teacher Lvi-Matveyevich Entine, an international lawyer.
Mikhail collected materials for the course work, introducing the concept of "personal and family secrets in criminal law of Russia" under Article 137 of the Criminal Code. In the 3rd year, he investigated the work of these rules in Russian legislation and decided to continue working in Moscow, analyzing European standards.
In addition to study, Druyan began to recognize the capital, walking on student theaters. He since childhood he dreamed of entering the Institute of Arts and become an actor. But parents did not support, arguing that the boy should receive a "decent humanitarian education."

Mikhail Druyan collaborated with Conde Nast magazine publishing house. For more than five years, he was the producer of the GQ Prize "Man of the Year."
