Andrei Leonidovich Melnichenko was born on May 21, 1992 in the village of Cortuz Krasnotransky district, where a thousand people lived on three streets. He grew up with two senior sisters, as well as the younger sister and Brother Egor, who was born in 2006. Father worked in the farm, mother watched the house.
Andrew began to engage in the 4th grade, at the suggestion of the teacher Viktor Vladimirovich Boychenko. So fascinated that we went to three workouts with groups of different ages. There were no other sports in the village, so it was not particularly possible to choose. Parents lived poorly, inventory and equipment could not buy. On the contrary, the son in his spare time worked, and even helped the housework.
In the eighth grade Melnichenko accidentally broke the inventory, and the coach drove the guy from the section, but after two years called back. During this time, Andrei just managed to pull the studies that he threw due to training. And on his return, ranked first on the school sports school in Krasnotransk.
When Melnichenko entered the Siberian Federal University in Krasnoyarsk, Alexander Stepanovich Faleyev worked with the young man, who became the personal trainer of Andrei and went with him to all domestic competitions.
Ski race
Sports biography began the skier in 2013 with the World Winter Universiade in Italy, where he went with Andrei Feller. That year Melnichenko was injured by the lower back, and the pains were so strong that he could finish with sports. Doctors said that he had lumbar intervertebral hernia, and any fall could lead to a rupture.
Andrei did not want to go to the Olympics in Pytenchhan, because during the World Cup stage in Seefeld trauma aggravated. The federation helped with treatment, a manual therapist worked with a skier, and President Elena Valerevna Vyalbe persuaded Melnichenko to participate. But he did not show big results.
In November 2018, at the starts of FIS in Moorio on the ski race for 15 km Melnichenko overtook Alexander Bolunova, convincing the coach of Oleg Carrier, which is worthy of the formation of the national team in the first stages of the World Cup. Personal life
