Ilya Sergeevich Semikov was born in the village of Ust-Zilma, the Republic of Komi, October 22, 1993. On the skiing stood at 4 years thanks to his parents. In the native area there was no choice of disciplines: only skiing and mini-football, - and therefore, from 7 years of age, the boy was credited to the Ski Ski section to the mentor Ivan Popov, where many of his friends were trained.
Until the 10-11th classes, the young man did not plan to dive with their heads, was proud and he was engaged in health. With such a complex (Ilya-173 cm growth), the athlete is hard to fight in the sprint, and therefore the Russian specialized in a classic style. The coach gave the team gentle loads, only by the end of the school Ilya Rasp and began to show results.
In 2011, Semikov spoke in the Russian Championships for skiers 1993-1994, where he took 3rd place in the race by a classic course of 10 km. This result bowed to Ilya to continuing sports.
After graduation, he moved to Syktyvkar, where he began working with Andrei Nutrichin, then in the youth team with Edward Mikhailov and in the main team of Russia with Oleg carriers. He is a master of sports, stands for the "Dynamo" club.
Education received at the full-time department of the Financial and Economic Faculty of Syktyvkar University named after Pitirim Sorokina, and then studied in the magistracy in the Volga Sports Academy in Kazan.
Ski race
At the international level, Ilya Semikov first spoke in March 2013 in Syktyvkar at the Cup of Eastern Europe. Personal life
Ilya Semikov married. Anastasia Kudryashova became the elected of the skier (born on May 27, 1997, he received an education at one university with Ilya in Syktyvkar).
The athlete's wife works in the public sector, and deals with most of the work on the house. The couple lives in a private house in Syktyvkar, located on the edge of the forest, next to the ski base and the track. Sometimes, the spouses go to ski together, and Ilya helps Anastasia advisions.
In an interview, Ilya noted that Coronavirus ripped the family plans for rest in warm edges and the spring of 2020 had to spend at home in the apartment. True, during this time, the skier pulled into English and began to study German.
