The history of the DAL & Gagnamagni Group is related to the biography of the Icelandic musician Dadi Freira Petursson, also known under the pseudonyms of Dadi Freir or just dad. The guy was born in Reykjavik in 1992.
At an early age, the future frontman of the popular Scandinavian team decided to devote the lives of creativity. He learned to play piano, shock installation, percussion and bass guitar. Stay in Berlin at the end of 2010 replenished the intellectual piggy bank with knowledge in the field of musical management and sound operating. Training in a specialized university gave a bachelor of the humanitarian science diploma.

After that, the instrumentalist who received additional education in the South West Multicultural educational institution decided to collect his own group. For a while he performed solo, accompanied by musicians from the Gagnamagni ensemble. After a series of concerts, the musicians became one whole. So a new Icelandic team of Daði & Gagnamagni appeared.
Dadi Freir took on the role of Frontman, his sister Sigruun Byrna Petursdottir began to respond to backing vocals. Petursson's wife, Arni Fiol Asmundsdottir, as well as friends of the family of Huld Christine ColombrundTir, Stefan Hannessson and Johan Sigurdur Johannson took up the musical component and visual effects.
