Biography
Salakhov Tair Teymur Oglya is a painter artist whose creative biography includes dozens of iconic paintings. He stood at the origins of the new direction in painting, and later became a symbol of Soviet and modern art.Childhood and youth
Tair was born on November 29, 1928 in Baku in a large seed family of Paemur Salakhov, and his spouses.
When there was no boy and 10 years old, the father was repressed and shot. Then Sona stayed with five children completely alone: no one wanted to communicate with the family of the enemy of the people. Later, the painter recalled that they lived then as if in isolation. Only after 19 years, Teymur Salahova was justified, and the kind name of the genus was restored.
After graduating from school, the young man studied at the Art School Baku, and then continued to education in the Surikov Institute in Moscow. For years later, already having a qualification "painter artist" and several bright works, he returned to the Moscow University as a teacher.
Creation
Salahov's student cloths quickly became famous in the Soviet Union and determined the further direction of his painting. He became one of the villains of the "harsh style" - directions that focused on the deliven 20-30s and challenged the fate and the heroism of contemporaries.A prominent place in the work of the artist took the native Azerbaijan. He dedicated to him and its inhabitants of the cycle of genre works: "Women of Absheron", "Morning in Caspian", "Repairmen" and other paintings. Currently this series of monumental triptych "Country of Lights", created by a painter in 79 years.
The red thread in the creations of the master passes the love and respect for the mother, several portraits of which he wrote. And in general, the artist worked a lot on the images of people, and his extensive gallery includes portraits of the composer Dmitry Shostakovich, Actor Maximilian Shell, Mstislav Rostropovich cellist and many other cultural figures.
Gradually, his fame went beyond Moscow and Baku. Salakhov had a chance to work in Italy, Mexico, the USA and other states. He not only represented his homeland internationally, but also sought that in his country exhibitions of such world masters, like Francis Bacon, Rufino Tamayo, Janis Kunellis and others.
In the mid-80s, Tair Salakhov headed the workshop and the department of painting and compositions of the Surikov Institute. He gripped a whole constellation of talented artists, and together with pupils restored the plots and ornaments of the Covers of Christ the Savior in Moscow.
In parallel with painting, Tair was engaged in political and social work. In different years, he was a deputy of the Supreme Soviets of the ASSR, the USSR and the RSFSR, led by various cultural institutions.
Despite worldwide recognized work and many years of contribution to art, his first exhibition in the Tretyakovka "Sun in Zenith" was held only in 2016.
Personal life
Personal life of the painter is associated with two women. In his youth, he married Uzbek artist Vanzette Khanum. At 21, the artist first became a father: Vanzetta gave birth to Lara's daughter in 1949. Later in the family of Salahov, two more girls, Alaghaz and Aydan appeared.
However, three children did not save Tair's marriage and Vanzetta from the collapse, and the couple divorced.
In the mid-70s, the master met the soloist of the ensemble Igor Moiseeva Barbaroos, and a little later she became his wife. In 1977, 49-year-old Tair and his second wife were born a long-awaited heir, who was called Ivan.
The artist repeatedly repeated that Varvara Salahova became the muse of his life and his creativity talisman. He lived in love for more than 40 years, until in November 2020 she did not. Even on the last joint photos, Tair looked at Barbar with indescribable tenderness.
Death
Salakhov Tair Teymur Ogly survived his beloved wife only 6 months. He died on May 21, 2021 in the German hospital aged 92 years. The official cause of death is the inflammation of the lungs. About what happened his daughter Aidan Salahova.After 3 days of the painter buried in Baku on the honorary burial alley. There are still many outstanding personal identities of Azerbaijan, including Muslim Magomayev.
