A real man and the future defender of the Russian Flag at international competitions was born on February 23, 1976 in the city of Mirny Yakutsk SSR. His parents came to Naberezhnye Chelny with the beginning of the construction of KamAZ. Karniov's roots partly from North Ossetia (Father Oleg Kharitonovich was born and grew up in Alagir), and partly from Nizhny Novgorod, where his mother Larisa Alexandrovna comes from.
Father, graduate of the Moscow Road Institute, worked at the plant engineer and thoroughly understood in the device of cars that were his passion since childhood. He became an enthusiast and infected the city with love for off-road races. Oleg Kharitonovich himself drove on small passenger cars with high patency, and son eventually began to tame huge cars produced by the plant, where his parents worked selflessly.

Meanwhile, as his father, being a mechanic in the crew, defeated at international autocross competitions, Kargin Jr. began to take the first cups on the map. He became the champion of the republic and earned the title of CMS.

Student at school, Karginov did not miss the opportunity to visit KAMAZ to feel involved in the production of large cars. It is not surprising that the specialty he chose the appropriate: studied car and tractor buildings in Kamsky Polytech. From there, the young man opened a direct route to the Kamaz Scientific and Technical Center, where he took up the test of specialized equipment.
Car racing
The first large competitions in the "Kamaz Masters" took place for Karginov in 2006. He proudly entered the strongest team of world motor sport in the class of sports trucks and began to continue its glorious traditions.At first, Andrew participated in the Rally-Raids on the position of the mechanic and then proged the taste of the first victories.
At the "Khazar steppes - 2007", the car drivers debuted as a pilot and drove to the pedestal, but the injury received for a couple of years has put a career on a pause. Karginov turned out to be a guy with character. He not only did not leave a favorite thing, but also returned the full determination to win the place behind the wheel.
True, Andrei overcame its first Dakar, and finished it only at the 5th place, but already in 2011 he died behind the pilot and became the champion of Russia.
Karginov became the legend of the Dakar rally in 2013. And it did not mean at all that he won the same multi-day. Then the triumph celebrated the colleague on Kamaz Master Edward Nikolaev, and the second place was also used to representatives of the "Blue Armada" - the crew of Airat Mareev.
In Karginnov, there was little hope. Not only did the pilot have just recently heal the foot fracture, and the second day of the competition with the burnt clutch ended on the 24th place. All the following stages, where Andrei had to catch the leaders, turned into a feat, and he was able to get out of the 2nd position to the final arrival. What was the horror of the fans, when for counting kilometers to the finish line, his "Kamaz" turned out to be penetrated the front wheel.
Then, about the will Karginnov, he wrote hardly more than about the champion finish of Nikolaev. Andrei did not lose the precious minutes on the replacement of the wheel and the last kilometers chased on the grinding rubber, from which the track was left by the end of the race on the metal rim. As a result, the whole pedestal of that Dakar belonged to Kamaz Master, and the 3rd place Karginova did not turn the language to call the loss.
Already a year later, Andrei Olegovich became a full-fledged champion of legendary multi-day and continued to multiply victories in other competitions, including "Cagan Gold", "Great Steppe", "Silk Road" and "Africa Eco Reis".
Personal life
Karginiov is happy in his personal life. On January 21, 2007, Hulfia's wife presented him with Zakhar's son. At that moment, the newly made father performed the function of the night mechanic to the "Dakar" rally and did not even immediately understand what happened.
Since then, the boy has managed to grow in the KAMAZ-Master-Junior Racer and become a champion of Tatarstan in karting three times. Meanwhile, he will be careful by the younger brother Demid, also not indifferent to motor racing.

Now Andrei Olegovich continues to train and participate in the highest level competitions. In 2020, he once again celebrated the victory in Dakar. True, "Dakar-2021" for the pilot did not set and ended in the 7th place, while the triumph celebrated the team team Dmitry Sotnikov.On July 1, 2021, Karginihov, together with the navigator Andrei Moksev and the mechanic, Ivan Malkov entered the 11-day rally "Silk Road", whose total length was 5.5 thousand km.
