Teem was born on March 29, 1990 in the large port city of Kotka in the south of Finland in a large family of Tayy and Tero Pukki. In addition to him, parents raised another son and daughter.

For 1.5 million euros, he was invited to Seville, where he played the season 2008/2009. Therefore, the 19-year-old athlete returned to his homeland, where his football biography developed significantly more successfully. In 2009, Teem was included in the Junior team of Finland, and his debut took place in the same year in the match against the Japanese team.
A year later, the footballer signed a 3-year contract with FC HJK from Helsinki. In the Higher League, he showed excellent results and finally revealed sports potential: he scored 18 goals and 2 years in a row became the champion of Finland.
