Catherine was born and rose in Togliatti. There the girl first hit the handball section. Once in a class where Ilyina studied, a children's coach came and told the guys about this sport. The sports biography of Ekaterina Ilina began with the duplicate compositions of the Lada team from the native city. But mostly got a strong team, and in 18 years to make a handball player was difficult.
