Ekaterina Glazerina - Russian biathlonist, who achieved the title of Master of Sports of Russia. For many years, it is considered an important link as part of the Russian national biathlon team. From its achievements it is worth noting four-time championship in internal competitions and silver in the pursuit race at the World Cup stage in Hochfilzen.
The biography of Ekaterina Glazyrina from childhood is not just connected with sports, namely with skis. The future biathlete was born and grew up in the Perm Territory, in the town of Tchaikovsky. The family was brought up by two children - Catherine and her sister-twin Mary, who later became an accountant. When girls studied at school, Katya, together with other classmates, were invited to the local ski section, because for Permyakov, the ability to ride greatly to ride a little natural skill.
And it is skiing, first as a hobby, and then as a lesson, without which Glazerina did not imagine their lives, introduced it into the world of great sports. Later, Ekaterina took a gun in the hands and became biathlete. At 17, the girl moves to Yekaterinburg, as the athlete could develop more seriously under the supervision of high-class coaches. The first workouts of the athletes were under the supervision of Alexander Nepiroshin, then the Persian coach of Catherine became Straistic Valentina Mikhailovna.
By the way, in the capital of the Urals, Glazerina received both a higher education, graduating from the Faculty of Tourism and Sports of the Ural State University of Physical Culture.
Biathlon
Initially, in professional sports, the biathlete Catherine Glazerina took the top due to excellent speed, but later an athlete focused on shooting accuracy, therefore it developed this skill to the proper level.

In 2014, at the home winter Olympiad in Sochi, Catherine was one of the hopes of the country. In 2015, biathlonist officially married his beloved man Anton Shurbinov, who met many years before. Ekaterina Glazyrina's husband is also directly related to biathlon: it is a coach of the national team of the Sverdlovsk region.
And at the end of 2015, Catherine became a mother. They and his spouse had a son, which was decided to name in honor of Father Anton, because a strong external similarity is visible between the boy and her husband. Interestingly, that soon after the birth, Catherine began training and already next season returned to the highest sports level. In November, the International Union of Biathlonists still did not express his decision on the issue of Catherine's disqualification. As a result of the actions of the sports organization, Glazerina was forced to skip part in the Olympic Games.
In early May 2018, Catherine Glazyrina was charged with violation of anti-doping rules, followed by two-year disqualification. The results of the competition were also canceled, in which the athlete participated since the end of 2013.
Ekaterina Glazerina expressed disagreement with the actions of the Anti-Doping Commission and is now preparing an appeal to a sports arbitration court (CAS). According to biathletes, there is no evidence of its involvement in the use of doping, except for a well-known report. The athlete does not lose hope to regain an honest name, so continues to train on the tracks of Altai and Siberia.
