The musician was born in the Soviet Union on August 4, 1970 in the city of Asbest (Sverdlovsk Region). In the family at that time, the eldest son Vadim was raised. Samoilov's parents moved to Asbest in 1965. Mother worked as a surgeon, and his father engineer. As a child, Gleb and his brother often said that they wanted to create their own group and become musicians, but the elders were unhappy with such a desire.
At the early age, Samoille-younger mastered the game on the piano. The first composition, which he independently learned Gleb, was the music from the popular film "Tehran-43". And in the sixth grade, the teenager decided to master another instrument - guitar. He studied with tutorial books. Later, the young man spoke several times at school concerts as a bassist.
A big role in the formation of musical preferences Gleb was played by an elder brother. He often gave the youngest brother to listen to the western rock on the vinyl records. After graduating from high school in 1987, the future musician decided to enter the local institute at the Faculty of Story, but he did not have enough of the right amount of points. Then the guy received an invitation to enter as a bass guitarist to the RTF-UPI ensemble, where his brother was played, Peter May and Alexander Kozlov. From this group and began the creative way of Samoilov Jr..
"Agatha Christie"
On February 20, 1988, the team won a concert in the Ural Polytechnic Institute, speaking under the name "Agata Christie". This date is considered the official birthday of the rock project. At the end of the same year, the Group released the first album, which was called the "Second Front". At the young musicians immediately drew attention: their texts were abounded by decadent aesthetics and allutias on the gothic literature, which was intensified by the original manner of execution.Having come to the group, Gleb began on a par with Vadim Samoilov and Alexander Kozlov writing texts and music to songs. The first concerts of Samoilov Jr. played, sitting on a chair that he gave rise to many speculations among the listeners about the cause of this. Later it became known that the young musician was afraid of the scene, and to sit him a brother advised to reduce tension and excitement.
So it lasted until 1995, when Gleb suddenly got up and did not return to the saving subject of furniture. In an interview, bassist reported that at that moment the attack of claustrophobia was survived: the chair "closed, limited the living space" of the artist.
Over the next years, "Agatha Christie" successfully performed throughout the country, produced albums that became cult, removed conceptual clips.
However, in the second half of the "zero" in the team there was a creative crisis. By that time Alexander Kozlov left his life, and the Samoylov brothers could not always find a common language. In 2009, the Group ceased to exist. The founders of the rock project called the cause of decay that they have different tastes and everyone sees their place in music in different ways. To part with fans on a good note, Gleb and Vadim went to the epilogue tour in the cities of Russia. The Matrixx.
In the same year, Gleb presented the project The Matrixx. Later, in an interview, the bassist admitted that the style of "Agatha Christie" was never close to him, and what he began to study in the new team, planned to translate back at another 17 years. The music style of his own brainchild Samoyles, the younger called the "postnotee". After the release of the first album "Beautiful brutally" it became clear that the concept of the project is largely different from the sound of "Agatha Christie."
The topics of physical cruelty (for example, "love") were major for the group compositions (for example, "love, provocative motives of same-sex love and pedophilia. Also, Gleb created tracks telling about the internal conflict of a person with the outside world and God ("Blue Flowers" and others). The musical filling of hits has become more rigid. Together with Samoyallov, Jr. The Matrixx included Dmitry Khakimov and Konstantin Bekrev, who previously played in "Agate".
In subsequent years, the team actively produced albums that received high evaluations of critics. The project has its own Youtyub-channel, as well as an instagram account where clips and other video materials were laid out. In the winter of 2017, a disc release was released, called "Hello". According to the musician, the songs have no pronounced style from this disk, but every listener after acquaintance with the album will independently determine his concept.
In 2019, The Matrixx presented the release of the album "Concert with the Symphony Orchestra Globalis 14.11.2019". The plate was published in 2 CD + DVD format, as well as on digital sites. Kirill Umansky and Vladimir Elistratov participated in the work on orchestral scores. Solo creativity

After Samoyov, the younger has repeatedly made original collaborations with other performers - for example, with Vasey Oblomov, he recorded the track "to live always".
In 2017-2018, the guitarist became interested in writing music with the iPhone and iPad. These compositions Gleb called "electronic experiments", or "collages".

Personal life
Personal life in the biography of the musician turned out to be violent and rich. Tatyana Samoilova became the first lady, who managed to conquer the heart of the rock star. Gleb was younger than the beloved, but the age difference was not embarrassed by the musician. The girl was an artist - between her and the self-younger turned out to be much in common. Soon after acquaintance, a wedding took place, and on November 27, 1996, a couple had a son, whom they called in honor of the Father. The first marriage was short-lived, but the spouses managed to preserve friendly relations. When divorced, their overall child stayed with his mother.
Anna Church became the second official wife of the musician. She worked as a model and designer. This union was also not long. After parting, the musician often changed his beloved. The press appeared joint photos of the rock star with Valery Gai Germanic and Catherine Biryukova, with whom Gleb tied a close relationship. But he did not make any of them the official proposal.
In the "tenths", the guitarist met a journalist Tatyana Larionova. She turned out to be a fan of his work and came to interview the musician. No one believed that they could have a serious relationship, since Gleb had a difficult character. Relations with brother
The relations of the Samoylov brothers became tense even at the beginning of the "tenths." Then the basis of disagreements amounted to different political views. The situation was aggravated after the speech of Vadim Samoilov in the Donbas. Gleb took the opposite political position and was incorrectly expressed about the inhabitants of Eastern Ukraine than the brother insulted. After the collapse of "Agata", the brothers agreed on the ban on the performance of each other's songs in the group. In 2015, Vadim invited a relative to participate in "Nostalgic concerts".
