Madeleine Albright (Corbel) was born in Prague on May 15, 1937. Jewish by nationality. Her father worked as a press attache Czechoslovakia in Belgrade. In March 1937, after the Hitler's occupation of Czechoslovakia, the family fled to England. Grandfather and grandmother stayed in their homeland and died in the Holocaust. After the end of the war, the Corbel family returned to Czechoslovakia.
