Biography
In 2011, the American remake of the Danish detective series "Murder" came to the screens. This event can be called the official beginning of the Scandinavian Noura boom at the world level. Cold landscapes and a few heroes with difficult destinies fell soul to the audience, and after the "murder" was followed by remakes of other Scandinavian TV series.
Not bypassing this event and Hollywood figures. One of the first golden core discovered David Fincher, removing the remake of the "Girls with a dragon tattoo" in 2011 - the film was shielding the novel of the Styh Larsson. Other directors reached for him, starting to buy the rights to film the books of other Swedish, Norwegian and Danish writers of detectives, including at Nesbe.
Childhood and youth
A future musician and a writer was born (it was in this order that he seemed to others) in the largest city of Norway, part-time being the capital of this country. It happened on March 29, 1960. Almost immediately after birth, the Nesbe's family moved into a small town of Molde, located in Fühlka (district). Earth-Og Romsdal.
In his youth, Yu practiced football - one time even thought about the career of a professional football player. The guy has really been talent in this area - at the age of seventeen, Nesbe was already playing for the national team of the city. Because of the sports achievements, Nesbe Teacher descended a guy with hands, irresponsible attitude towards studying. But everything changed in one moment.
During the next training, Yu seriously damaged the knee ligaments. Doctors said that the career of a football player can be forgotten. Soon Nesbie graduated from school. Low estimates closed the guy of the path of admission to the universities of the country. Yu went to the army.
For those three years that Nesbe spent in the north of the country, giving the duty to his homeland, the future writer decided to engage in self-education. At the same time, Ernest Hemingway and Jack London were addicted to the reading of books (favorite writers of that time.
In one of the interviews, the writer mentioned that he loved the literature since childhood (his mother worked as a librarian), but only when he read the parents - he himself just chose books. Once I chose the "Lord of the flies" of William Golding - on the cover, on which a pig head, striking on the pole, was depicted. From the book Nesbe was not delighted and promised to his father, which would definitely write a book better.
By the end of the service in the Army, Yu raised his estimates to the level on which the doors of all universities were opened in front of him. The problem was that the guy did not know who it wanted to go to learn. Therefore, he entered the prestigious Norwegian school of economics and business administration, located in the city of Bergen. As a future specialty, the profession of economist was chosen.
The study was given to Nesbe easily, but did not cause much interest. The guy had a lot of free time that most of his classmates spent on homework. To somehow take himself, Yu decided to learn how to play the guitar - the basics of this business he studied in the army. This was recognized about another student of the school of the economy and offered to create a musical group.
The idea was successful - ten songs of the Di Derre group (translated as "there") occupied the leading positions of folk charts. Nesbe himself, by this time he moved to Oslo and managed to work for freelance journalist and stock broker.
Literature
In early 1997, Yu fell into depression. The cases from the group did not go so that, but in the firm in which Nesbe worked as an economist, abbreviations began. To at least somehow distract from this, I took a vacation at my own expense and bought a plane ticket to Australia. Literally the day before the departure, Nesby called the editor of the glossy magazine with a proposal to write him an article about his rock band. The idea seemed to be interesting, so he agreed and grabbed a laptop on vacation.
However, instead of the biography of the group, a detective novel "Dashing" was obtained (in Russia also published the name "flying bat"). The plot was formed during the thirty-hour flight. Like Nesbe, suffering from a shift shift syndrome, Harry Hall (the main character of the novel) landing at Sydney Airport. He arrived in Australia to help local police in investigating the murder of Norway Citizally.
Draft "Dashing" was finished after arriving at home. By this time, there was no trace from the past depression. When the issue of publishing a book, Nesbe decided to publish it under the pseudonym. To discuss this issue, he was called to the publisher. On the question about the pseudonym Yu replied that he considers his name too famous for fellow citizens.
"They will not be perceived seriously a detective written by a musician," said the newly connected writer.However, it turned out that his name is unknown to publishers. Then Nesbe said the name of the group. One editors smiled and began to hum. Another group. The "bat" was published in the same 1997 under the real name of the writer. Nesbe did not expect such success - he expected the critics to deal with his debut work in the fluff and dust. But I was wrong. When an awareness of the fact that the writing of books can be made for life, he himself quit the firm in which she worked for the last three years.
In 1998, he published the book "Tarakany", which became a continuation of the "distinguctor". To write this work, it approached more responsibly, but the book turned out to be a little weaker than the previous one. But "Krasnishika", who saw the light in 2000, turned out to be much better - for her Nesbe received the Norwegian bookseller prize in 2000 and the Prize of the Norwegian Book Club in 2004.
The Madame Prize Vil Nigard was marked by the fourth book about the adventures of the hall - "Nemesis" (another transformation option - "there was no sadness"). For her, in 2010, the writer was nominated for the Awards of Edgar Pon.
For the "Nemesis" followed the "Pentagram", "Rescuer" and "Snowman". After that, in order to at least distract from his hero, Yu publishes the collections of the stories, and also begins to write a series of children's books about the adventures of the eccentric Dr. Proctor and his friends.
In 2008, there is a non-economic novel "Hunters of the heads", which has become a starting point for the start of the writer's workspace. In 2009, the continuation of the adventures of the Kharry Hall detective is "Leopard", followed by the interval at first a "ghost", and then the Police. From the offscale works at this time, the "Son" and "Abduction" came out.
Also during this period of time, the Dilogy of Blood was published, but these books were written under the pseudonym Tom Johansen. In addition to detectives and books for children, at Nesbe, I tried myself and in writing dramatic works for theater - so in 2004 the light saw the play "Ninostener Hill".
Cinema and television
The first time Nesby was faced with the world of cinema in 2005, writing a scenario for the television film Niels Geopa "Deadline". Five years later, the name of the writer was mentioned as a scenario of the short films "Prepared" Serena Krag-Jacobsen. Personal life
