Alena Valentinovna Savchenko was born on January 19, 1984 in the town of Obukhov near Kiev, Ukraine. Valentina and Nina Savchenko four children: Three sons and daughter Alena. Valentin Savchenko led the lessons of physical education at school, and in some period of his life he taught an easy athletic in Germany. Alena was barely 3 years old when the girl asked her father as a gift for the holiday skates. Considering that the salary of Ukrainian teachers is low, to rent an apartment in Kiev, the parents of Alena did not die, and the daughter almost 10 years traveled to workout 50 km in each direction. Parents had to wake up at 4.30 am to take daughter to 7.00 for training in Kiev. After several months of training, the girl was transferred to the paired discharge - the most difficult in figure skating.
The girl was still in his youth at competitions, invariably occupying prizes, but all the load on financial support and speeches lay on her parents' shoulders - Valentina and Nina Savchenko. At some point, they really wanted the daughter to play the piano instead of exhausting training on the rink.
Figure skating
Savchenko began her career Alena Savchenko in the sports society "Dynamo Kiev". The first partner of the girl became a novice figure skater Dmitry Benko. Despite the busy schedule of training, on the youth world championship, the guys were unsuccessful, taking only the 13th place.
After that, Alena changed both the coach and partner. Becoming a couple with Stanislav Alexandrovich Morozov under the direction of the champion of the Soviet Union Galina Vladislavovna Kchechen, the girl achieved brilliant results. Speaking in 2000 on the youth World Championship, the guys brought home gold medals.
Then there were victories at the National Championship, and in 2002, athletes represented Ukraine at the Olympiad, held in Salt Lake City, where they took the 15th place. After the speech, Morozov was seriously injured and even thought about the completion of a career in sports, as a result of which Alena began to look for a new partner.
The next partner for Alena was invited from St. Petersburg. Russian Anton Nemenko has already prepared for moving to Kiev, but the couple did not receive funding and soon broke up - Anton returned to Russia. The girl did not want to leave Ukraine and even complained to his parents, which does not imagine life in Germany and performances under the German flag.
But soon Alain became a civilianized Germany, and he trained the athlete Ingo Sten. Free at that time Robin Scholkov became an excellent partner for Alena. Together, the guys took gold at the National Championship, on the European Championship became fourth, and at the World Championships received only sixth place.
In 2006, Savchenko and Scholkov represented Germany at the Olympics, which took place in February in Italian Turin. Couple ranked 6th. But after a year, athletes took the third place at the World Championships and the first in Europe. Next season, the couple confirmed the title of European champions and received gold at the World Championships. By 2011, athletes turned out 3 gold at the World Championships and 4 - on European championships.
On the eve of the continental championship, the guys abandoned participation in connection with the Alena injury. But in March 2012, the skaters took the first place at the World Championships. At the same time, the pair successfully performed the Grand Prix in figure skating in Winsor, Canada.
However, from participation in the next stage of the tournament refused, since Alain fell ill. On the championships of the world and Europe, this season Savchenko and Scholkov gave way to the Russians Volosozhar and Trankov.
Alena's parents in an interview say that in Germany, the Ukrainian athlete remained somehow - the Germans are not worried about the success of the athlete and do not accept her, although the girl invariably achieves victories at international competitions under the German flag.
In 2014, skaters went for gold to the Olympics in Sochi, so the third place was taken for them serious disappointment. The reason for the failure was gross errors in the execution of an arbitrary program.
In the same year, Robin Scholkov said that she completes the sports career and plans to become a coach, and the French partner became the French Mass. German Alexander König became coach of Duet Savchenko-Masso.
Personal life
All the youth of Alena devoted persistent training and sporting achievements, so there was no time or strength on guys. But in the German city of Oberheim Alane and Bruno invited to a party where the figure skater met the artist from the UK Liam Crosse.
Despite the difference in age, which is 8 years, a sympathy broke out between young people, and soon Liam was already the official husband of the Ukrainian athlete. The wedding took place in Germany in an old castle. On the celebration of Alena and Liam invited only family members and closest friends. The athlete has yet refused to take the surname of the spouse due to the approaching speech at the 2018 Olympic Games, but in the future it plans to become Alana Cross.

Speaking at the World Championships in March 2017, Ukrainian Alain and Frenchman Bruno ranked second place for Germany, giving way to Duet from China. Immediately after the competition, the athletes began to prepare for the 2018 Olympics.
On the eve of the performance, it became known that the well-being of Alena worsened - the figure skater was withered, she was disturbed by pain in the leg. But even this did not prevent - Savchenko and mass became owners of gold medals at the 2018 Olympics.
The arbitrary program of Alena and Bruno rolled back not just successfully, and by installing the world record - 159.31 points, having broken a record last season in the Grand Prix final.
